hello,

I need Geo DNS service

just like the tittle said, is www.geoscaling.com good, reliable and safe?

I see their website using evil plain http instead of https, that, i can't really trust.

Can you recommend me other good geo dns services?

I don't mind paying as long as it is cheap,

thanks

    I personally use(d) GeoScaling for private projects.

    Good:

    • Outstanding support. Agent replied me within 3 minutes;
    • They can write a code for you regarding live redirection;
    • Service is solid, no uptime loss in almost 7 months;
    • Simple, yet solid API;
    • Free for up to 1 million queries. Than it is up to you to negotiate. But the price would be much lower than other popular DNS services;

    Bad:

    • Rudimentary control panel: there is no profile edit options, you can't change any personal details manually;
    • Atrocious UI;
    • Running by 1-man army? Not sure...

    looks good for me, but still wondering why they are not using https... kinda hold me back there.

    Shoot them an email asking this. I believe they will setup it in a minute :)

    route 53

  • I used this years ago, the person behind it is awesome & helpful, the service is solid.

    The only reason I left for Cloudflare was that at some point it was getting hit hard by DDoS for an extensive period and they had trouble mitigating. But that was long ago.

    Funny, they have this in their source HTML code commented:

    http://pastebin.com/ZCHYwcba

    Indicates something? Maybe just my paranoia...

    Can't see that that anywhere in their source code.

  • It was sold a while ago. The new owner created a new logo and planned to release an updated version https://twitter.com/geoscaling

    Hi, I have enabled plain SSL on the Geoscaling.com website: https://secure.geoscaling.com

    Please note that you need to have IPv6 to use it! So challenge now on your side to get the latest technology ;)
