Of course. If we were seeing these types of stats I doubt we' d have customers and masses of complaints across the forums.
It's not normal for them - they're a good provider and the only downtime i've had was when they had drive issues (which they might have once more?).
I only use it as a slave nameserver - nothing fancy.

No problem, if your VPS is performing this poorly I'm glad you brought it up. Unfortunately @pubcrawler is very hateful towards a lot of the providers here and makes things a bigger issue
I'm surprised @httpzoom of the performance and monitoring miss. Either saturated node or broken drive(s).
It's all good. If I do one thing here it is encourage folks to monitor things like a hawk and be proactive. See @jarland if you need some recommendation on how to accomplish such.
No I only have one pet provider to spank.
Everyone else is fair game. I buy more services from companies here than I care to admit. So vested interest.

Chris has informed me of the node that your VPS resides on, I was actually already working on this node earlier after being alerted by our monitoring system, but wasn't able to update this post as I didn't realize you were on this node until Chris informed me.
Regardless, this now looks to be resolved. There was an abuser on the node running some P2P/Torrents which is prohibited activity according to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. The appropriate action has been taken against the abuser, and the disk I/O appears to be back to normal speed:

I don't have a VPS with CVPS, I was referring to his post above, but maybe you missed that.
lol I wasn't actually trying to get any sort of support, I was just curious what iops other people were getting since there's no "standard" on LET yet, unlike dd results, where most of us expect >90 MB/sec.

It's a good thread. Some providers are proud and sure of their numbers, while others play whackamole or deal with things only when there are problems.
Typically the problem? Torrents. That tends to destroy IO when out of box mis-configured.

I think @miTgiB and I agree that cachecade can show odd iops and dd results. Sometimes it's like the RAID card knows you're just running tests and says, "Nope, not running those on the SSDs." If you disable cachecade, the results on an empty node are constantly .1ms. If you enable it, the first 4-5 are .1ms, then it jumps up to .6ms and stays there.
But then, once the node is under a significant load, it completely changes that behavior. Just something I've noticed that is relevant to this discussion. You're not going to see "bad" iops on cachecade, but you may see something unexpected.
True @Jack. Unsure what Damian expects those to be. If he comes and says that's fine, then it is. Fine with any provider if that's the level expected.
