Open-VPN AS settings file
Hi,
I've been using Open VPN AS for quite a while now, never really thought into the logging side of it. One of my relatives would like access with the new UK spying laws coming into play and it's prompted me to look into it.
Does anyone know how I can edit the settings file on Ubuntu? Everywhere I've looked it's /etc/openvpn but on my install it isn't (followed the AS install guide on OpenVPN site). I've found the setting I need to change to minimise logging but need to find the damn file to change the setting
Any help much appreciated as always!

Try, https://github.com/Angristan/OpenVPN-install
Does that have logging disabled by default or would I need to set it?
I would recommend you to try OpenVPN community edition. I would help you if you like.

Is there anyway to do that with AS? I quite like having the Web UI.
Sure. Why not?
Do I just change the ver setting in the .openvpn file that I import into OpenVPN client?
What do you want exactly?
Disable connections log?
Disable total used traffic log by user?
Used traffic by user
Edit file

That's all.
Don't forget to restart it.
I'd recommend https://github.com/Angristan/OpenVPN-install
You dont have a Web UI but you can simply add and remove users. Each cert can be used once at a time. You'll get a .ovpn file for each client/cert you add.
How to know if this script is not making security hole in our system on purpose?
Thanks, how would I stop it logging the connections?
@Gerrard8 good question
Take a look https://docs.openvpn.net/docs/access-server/openvpn-access-server-command-line-tools.html#log-database
After that disable syslog.
Command line tools are only the most updated information about AS server.
Documentations on web-site are outdated.
