MikePTMikePT Moderator, Patron Provider, Veteran

Hello,

Processor: Even Atom is fine. E3, etc.
RAM: 8GB
Disks: 2x3TB or 2x4TB, raid card included.
Can also be 4x2TB HDD as long as the price won't increase.
BW: 10-20TB @ 1 Gbps
1 IPv4, IPv6 isn't needed.

Budget: Not set, but looking for a very affordable solution.

Yes I've seen those but would rather have them contact me / post their offers :-)

    Cheers!

  • Works the other way. You go to their website and call to their sales department or open a ticker or chat. No decent dedicated server provider will come here to LET and offer you some cheap smelly dedi.

Please if you're not interested in contributing, leave my thread.

I've purchased many other dedicated servers here, and always asked for offers, which got me nice deals.

    Fart mother.

It's funny how you don't mind concern trolling on other's threads.

  • @mrgeneral to prevent price increases, typically a contract is used. So that would be my advice, get a contract this time. You may also want to talk to gomach5 - they seem pretty nice from most of the threads I looked at. Now if you are expecting to find prices on par with the services you had at time4vps before many folks (who didn't have contracts) found disturbing, I think that may be tough in the US from most providers - but that's my 2 cents worth of opinion. If its long term storage- maybe use Amazon glacier storage at $4/TB per month with free inbound. its $90/TB to pull data out. but if these are backups - how much will you ever move out? Just an alternative to ponder - although your use case wasnt clear as to server use.

Thank you very much. Amazon Glacier would get expensive, to pull data out but, still an option.

I'm checking dacentec offers, their 2x3TB HDD could be enough for 50 USD but wouldnt have spare room, 2x4TB is preferred. I'll send them a ticket.

    Cheers!

If you want dirt cheap, you get what you pay for, meh slow support...

My recommendation is Hudson Valley Host or Colocrossing. You can also negotiate custom server deals and reduce some resources to boost others:

    @cheapwebdev ok thanks

  • I believe with dacentec you can add more disks to some chassis configurations. Just purchase the 2x2TB dirt cheap and add some more disks on the next page. Cheaper than some pre-configured ones.

  • @cheapwebdev - if u read op, he is looking for USA and kimsufi doesn't provide 2 drives. So the snarky reply before pumping up your absolute favs seems incredibly off base. but hey you knew that when you typed it.
