It will add $11.25 of credit to your account. You may then add funds as you wish.

It still forces you to either make a PayPal deposit or add a credit card.

  • @gubbyte said: It still forces you to either make a PayPal deposit or add a credit card.

    This is true

  • In the end, after depositing $5 with PayPal and using the SSDTweet10 code you are left with $16.25, which is enough to run one 512MB droplet for 3 months. Worth it. :)

  • @gubbyte said: SSDTweet10 code you are left with $16.25,

Seems they intended you to get an additional $1.25

Beware, their CC processor blocked 3 of my cards at 2 banks completely (had to wait for a letter and then call the bank to unblock) - Better use paypal.

  • I tried to use the discount and it only applied $5 and did not pick up my selected image instead it use default Ubuntu 12.10 x32 Server.

  • the code SSDBEAR20 worked , you will need to add a found of $5 dollars in order to use the credit. I did have a problem where it picked the default image. However, the second time i tried it picked the right image. good luck.

I did not see coupon code input area. I did earlier and it only give me freetrail credit -6.25 when I paid.

  • @innya the same.

    January 15, 2013 PayPal -$5.00 -$6.25
    January 15, 2013 Free Trial Credit -$1.25 -$1.25

  • @Spirit said: @innya the same.

    I had this problem.

Open a support ticket saying you tried applying the coupon (the SB coupon) but it didn't add it at payment.

Mine was applied in 2 minutes (unfortunately not the SB one)

You can only apply promotion code one time. Once you have keyed in the code, it will not appear again. Same to me. The only different is I get the $20 Credit instead of $5

This. Mine applied a 1.25 coupon, and I used the 10 dollar tweet one, but it wasn't applied. I opened a ticket, and it was applied to my account within 2 minutes.

In your / Spirit's case, mention the SB coupon :)

    January 14, 2013 You're Awesome! Credit -$10.00 -$16.25
    January 14, 2013 PayPal -$5.00 -$6.25
    January 14, 2013 Free Trial Credit -$1.25 -$1.25

  • I will do that.

From their WHT offer it seems like they are aware of this issue and they request support ticket with promo code in subject.

You can claim the offer by creating a new server at DigitalOcean.com and submitting a ticket with the subject “WHTSSD10”.

(but use SSDBEAR20 code, not this one of course)

  • Not sure hat this is, but I think i got a trial from them but i never tried the vps. This is after i applied the SB code:
