  • Yeah, i wonder what would be the name of this provider. I also wonder if i missed the last deadpool posts. Or maybe there was nothing for the deadpool lately. @Liam ? :)

  • I'll give him 2 months once Paypal pulls the plug

2 months is generous. Here's how I see it playing out:

    1) YearlyVM advertises their 1GB @ £15/Year special.
    2) People buy it up as an impulse buy.
    3) "Server" is filled up in 1 week.
4a) Assuming nobody uses the VPS and it manages to stay online, they will use the income to purchase another "server". When next month's bill is due for 2 "servers" Datashack will turn him off for non-payment.
4b) Assuming people use the VPS and the oversold "server" buckles under the pressure. Refunds demanded and website disappears.

    Build update :p

No way, 32mb memories would not allow someone to buy such an obvious red flag!!! How dare you think customers are that foolish!!!!

    ;-)

  • Mtwiscool. Mehh nothing special.

I'm not saying they are foolish. I am saying that people on here would buy it up just to abuse it to see how much £15/year will get them. I really hope I am wrong and this £300 desktop will be a game changer for the LEB market, but I won't hold my breath.

The funny thing is he could have bought a real server for about the same price.

That name seems extremely familiar but I can't find where I know it from.

I think he went on DataShack and tried to come up with what they have lol

Member's Bio. Name: mtwiscool. Birthday: 08/xx/1996. Age: 16.

    He runs post2vps.info

  • Haha he saw your post on LET KuJoe.

I'll give him one month then I bet everyone will demand a refund. Or something similar to what happened to SwitchVM (before @NHRoel took it over)

You got to know that mtwiscool is somewhat of totally stupid (he even admitted it on a chat in the public, our shoutbox) .

Had to be said. He was a mess on Free VPS Discussion.

He won't get any client, he can't even setup a simple NAT he offers for VPSs on http://0poundhosting.asia/

Your VPS has no Internet connectivity but he ignores it...

    Disaster recipe.
Not lessening the advice requested its offensive.
Better for you @Kujoe when his customers will find out that low price is always low quality.
A lesson for the future i hope only nobody host important stuff

He'd be better off renting the $49/month DataShack 6-core "special" server and just upgrading it to RAID1 and 32GB RAM, and adding some more IPs.
Or just get an OVH SP2...
Not great by any means. But way better than that piece of crap. I'm going to laugh really hard when that generic junk PSU blows up and takes his mobo, CPU, RAM, and disks with it :)

I've never used the Momentus drives before but I've read nothing but bad things about them. Even with the SSD caching I don't think RAID1 will keep up with any real VPS usage.

HOLY CRAP! I've never seen a 1 Gigabyte Per Second Shread Port!

  • Shread port: Check, dunno how network will work with a broken port though.

  • Wow! 2 core -assessable- :-)

Holy crap my headphone 7.1 surround is great on this video.

  • GoodLuck with that then, Shipping UK > US is crazy expensive. I was quoted £350-£400 for 30KG in a 30" x 20" x 10" box, but try and ship that the other way around and it will be 1/2 of the price.

@Nevil said: he's from UK, he claims.

  • Haha even says on his website its a summerhost

  • Have you seen the video? He's got the hardware already.

Do you mean colo from UK to US?
