Do not sell your company to Quadranet, they will ruin it. If you have any ARIN ips you may sell those for quick money and lease new ips from another provider. It may be worth.

Sounds like you have a story to share

Honestly they likely give a pretty decent wage along side some benefits and such. Given the margins many of these shops run on i'd be surprised if they were getting paid out better than they would for QN.

Some of these owners are only getting pay cheques because their vendors don't get paid.
Owner >>>>>> Vendors > Workers is the pay out structure for many of these places.

Wow, now THAT seems really sketchy! You'll buy up someone's company and then have them work for you? Sounds like a shady deal. How could one even verify that you'd be getting a job there?

Don't understand all of the hate and passive aggressive shots Quadranet is getting thrown at them here...

They have the capital to acquire companies and once they do, it is up to them to do whatever they want with them. If they want to drop all of the customers and keep certain assets that's their right as the owners of these companies and properties. As far as Crissic goes, no one really knows the backstory, financial details and other things that may have made it unprofitable and unsustainable post-purchase which has led to Quadranet letting the brand deteriorate and die. The only ones who know what's what are Quadranet...

Sucks that these customers have to find new homes but at the end of the day if you were with a host that was willing to sell you off so quickly with such little regard then you probably weren't in the best hands to begin with and all Quadranet did was speed up the process of you having to eventually find a new host.

I heard QN doesn't pay very well for the cost of living in LA.

    @Quadranet_Adam $100k salary + company apartment + car? Deal? :)

Ask Skylar about the commute. His Twitter is full of it. Better ask to live in the data center while at it.

Often times, it's the only reason to buy a company. I've seen firsthand how a purchased company's value essentially became zero because the new company that bought them treated employees poorly and they left.

Of course, QuadraNet here seems to be more interested in other assets. Nobody can say how sincere or attractive the employment offer is until you go through the process of selling your company to them.

In 2015 LA didnt even make the top 20 most expensive cities, Sydney and Melbourne were both inside the top 10, ahead of New York. Even in Sydney 100k is decent money.

But @theroyalstudent is in the most expensive city in the world for some years running - shall we ask what they think?

From a student who've been here (Singapore) for the past 15 years, here's my perspective:

    • Food is cheap ($2.50 can get you a plate of Chicken Rice, going to restaurants is a norm but there are often < $10 options here, but hawker centres and coffee shops are cheap & nice) (student deals in places like KFC, PizzaHut, etc)

    • Transport is cheap (double for an adult usually though).

    • Getting a car? Good luck. Paying for a car is expensive enough, then you have the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) that you have to buy which isn't cheap. Did I say even getting a license and going through the necessary training costed an upwards of $2k already? Next, you have to pay to use certain roads. ggwp might as well take a bus

    • Housing... nevermind. Better off renting if coming here for a year or two, but for residents there's tons of aid, like monthly instalment (with deposit), etc.

    • Bills. Never a big issue...

    • Internet. Enjoy high speed unlimited* internet at home, use data outside at your own risk as it's $10.70/GB excess. Infrastructure is decent, NBN is rolled out to most homes, LTE-Advanced is available if you have a phone that works with that.

    • Relieving stress? No. Don't even bother. More like reliving your wallet and feeling poorer than ever. Amusement parks like Universal Studios Singapore are expensive, I enjoy it tbh but no.

    • Education is free, because every Singaporean student deserves it. You'll pay tons of money if you're Permanent Resident (PR) or foreigner.

    • We speak English. There's Chinese translations of most stuff though, since it's the majority of the country. We're generally nice people until provoked. We're multi-cultural, multi-racial, main races: Chinese, Malay, Indians, Others (Eurasians, etc). Not the best place for racist people, but this is one of the only places where you can see a mosque peacefully coexisting with a church or temple.

    • Generally, it's peaceful and safe, surveillance is crazy especially, mass deployment of cameras and many other measures everywhere (did I say DPI is conducted on all residential / business lines?) but that's fine if you're not guilty of anything (porn is blocked though).

    • Quality of living is high, if you live here you will become a spoilt idiot like me who complains about everything. That's how our Government improves their policies and everything, so yeah.

    • It's never bad to get started on working (part time) as a student, some of my friends have started at McDonalds while I do development and answer support tickets for two different hosting providers.

To survive, you need like at least $2k/mth of salary lol. $1k+ is fine if you're conservative.

At last, we're not in China.

Hope this helps? Idk, my brain spew.
