Abc-Hosters - what's up?

It looks like these guys have been down for many hours now. Their front page is up, but everything else shows something like this:

Your connection is not secure. The owner of www.abc-hosters.pw has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

In any case, that's just their website, but I can't connect to my own website or log into my account. It's been a very long time. Anybody know what the issue is?

Who in their right mind uses a .pw domain for their company anyway?

  • That's the professional web you know. ;)

    Sure looks it.

  • Thanks. I couldn't remember the name and would rather not have posted here because I don't like to give bad press to a company unless they really deserve it. But their contact page doesn't work, and the .pw whois says the contact e-mail is hidden. I'm not unhappy with this service, but if I were to offer them one piece of advice it would be to provide foolproof contact info for situations like this. (It's too late there to phone now.)

@rickey318 has advertised http://www.abc-hosters.com (notice the .com at the end), which seems to load fine for me. I don't think the .pw domain is also his? Or is it?

edit: nevermind, when you click on contact it sends you to the .pw domain
But there is a non-hidden email adress in the whois info of the .com domain. Perhaps you can try emailing him.

The server can not find the requested page:

    www.abc-hosters.pw/cp_errordocument.shtml (port 443)

Please forward this error screen to www.abc-hosters.pw's WebMaster.

    However this works http://www.abc-hosters.pw/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=2

    Seems https is off

I have send all clients an email ahead of this downtime. The website has always been up. As stated in the email we are moving the billing system and node. The pw domain is just used for the billing system. If any clients have questions please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Thanks rickey318. That sounds good but I store all mail here (including spam and trash) and a search for "Abc" shows up nothing. What name are you using?

Actually, you may remember that your signup mail didn't get to me either. I'm not bent out of shape about this, but you may want to look into it as it seems to be an old problem. I'll send you an e-mail later so you can check it out.

Send me a email and I will look into this in private and not the forum.

  • No SSL for clientarea, and when you try to force it...

This server could not prove that it is www.abc-hosters.pw; its security certificate is from lv-shared04.cpanelplatform.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

The server for billing was moved so we have to move the SSL certificate too. For now it is accessible via http://

  • To a shared hosting?

  • So, I had some email exchanges for a while and kept being reassured that things were moving ahead. I had expected to eventually get some kind of notice when things were resolved. Having received none, and checking the site from time to time, I can report that ABC-Hosters are toasters.

Plans to develop further services have gotten to this: http://abc-hosters.com
