Is the disk space ssd or ssd cached? Also, which vps control panel you have? What about support response times in case hardware/network issues?

    Leaseweb Singapore.
Their network is not good at all and there are many other providers using leasweb but they do KVM at the same price.
Don't forget there is DigitalOcean so why would people take your VM for that price?

  • Any benchmark for your SG location?

Hello @hawkjohn7 @singhigh @abangnoob this promo code is available for the first invoice only, it's not recurring.

@niceboy The servers run enterprise SATA drives. The VPS Panel is SolusVM and we usually reply in 30 minutes.

@thatix The network improved a lot recently, if you know any provider offering OpenVZ/KVM Singapore VPSs at the same price and with the same specs please let me know. I'll be more than glad to offer price match.
Here the ping result from multiple Asia locations:

@Projectpop below the benchmark on OVZ-1:

Leaseweb itself offer 1Gb KVM for 8SGD = $5,80 per month.

  • Openvz with high disk space. I think HostMada is competitive enough in SG market. Different user have different requirement i can say.

  • recurring discounts are where my 'stupid money' goes; the buy, hold, idle, despair cycle

Guess better way do low cost yearly packages, lets says 256 Mb for $25

Can beat others yearly if cannot beat monthly :)

  • @andreamada price match? https://client.gigavest.com/cart.php?gid=3

Thank you for your notice but I think we cannot compare them because they are part of two different lines:

      Price: $4.00 vs $7.00
      RAM: 512MB + 512MB vSwap vs 512MB
      HDD: 50GB vs 20GB
Bandwidth: 1000GB on 1Gbit vs Unmetered on 100Mbit
      Technology: OpenVZ vs KVM

You can almost get the OVZ-3 for the same price ($7.99) with 2GB RAM + vSwap and 2 CPUs.

hi, you should know OVZ could be oversold! and someone in LET mentioned KVM:OVZ=1:16 I remember.

I have SG Leaseweb VPS so anyway thank you.

I can only say there are huge difference in requirements among people.
Personally I would rather buy a KVM with 512 MB RAM rather than OVZ with 2G RAM.
Just compare to Digitalocean's lowest plan. You will find your plan not attractive at all.
