VPS on HE network (U.S.) [solved]

Looking for a VPS hosted on HE network (single-homed, no other upstreams), on IP space owned and announced directly by HE.

Ideally inside their Fremont-2 DC. If not, anywhere in U.S. will work.

512 MB RAM, 5 GB HDD, 10 mbit uplink speed or 50 GB/mo transfer is enough.

Budget: up to $50/year

Actually that is no longer true, nice try though.

http://intovps.com/ Might be what you need, I don't know specifically if they use he.net ips but I know there Fremont location is very much in he.net world.

  • I'm curious - why the requirement of an HE.net owned IP?

  • ehvps.com uses Hurricane Electric's Fremont 2 DC as far as I can tell. Last VPS I had with them also used directly announced address space from HE.

Currently their cheapest advertised plan is $6/month but I think they have an offer for something around $3.5/month somewhere.

  • prgmr.com comes close, I'm pretty sure they are single homed to HE - but they announce their own IPs.

This is needed for internal monitoring. Thanks everyone, we went with ehvps.com

  • ehvps is closing this month, any other choices except Linode, large bandwidth needed, thank you

I think they have NTT now, but IIRC only for backup.

They do not use HE owned IPs.

No, in most cases it is "average". It is one of the budget carriers after all. Better than Cogent though.

No, they use their own IPs (same company, other name, elvsoft is also what they trade as SRL in RO):

    NetRange: 184.75.240.0 - 184.75.255.255
    CIDR: 184.75.240.0/20
    NetName: ELVSOFT
    NetHandle: NET-184-75-240-0-1
    Parent: NET184 (NET-184-0-0-0-0)
    NetType: Direct Allocation

HE is also weirdly not in the allowed origin for what they announce:

    OriginAS: AS40426, AS16626, AS3595
