Hey,

I have recently purchased 32 MB vps from ipxcore,

The setup was instant

the support is great and fast

the vps performance is excellent, so far i am running, 2 websites , squid with authentication , pptpd servers , ubuntu 11.10 upgraded fully, ZNC irc proxy with web administration,

the RAM usage is just around 20 mb and still i have 12 mb free

what you are running on 32 mb ipxcore ?

  • I just walk around at night clubs and tell them I have a 32mb IPXcore VPS.

It's better than making up some story about your rich uncle.

Oh damn! That's a GREAT idea!!!

I use it as a backup node and a DNS node.

  • yeah i am sure ipxcore is stable enough to be used as dns node as well as backup node,

  • VPN & static sites. ~9 MB of ram usage :)

I run Telephone's looking glass and OpenVPN on mine.

    Uses 13MB of RAM.

  • Last time, I use it for OpenVPN, LookingGlass, and another backup

  • 20Gb is not going to last you very long for OpenVPN :D

  • Proxy and a Blite blog. Nice. :)

It will if your not torrenting... (or heavy on media)

  • They said to reduce carbon footprint.. and this is a great idea implemented on 32mb !!
i have 2 of them in 'shutdown mode' for a long time.. :P

  • Znc bouncer only

  • I'm using it as a OpenVPN server, thats it

  • I use it as webserver - not a busy site of course.
    Idling

total used free shared buffers cached
    Mem: 32 20 11 0 0 10
    -/+ buffers/cache: 9 22
    Swap: 32 9 22

27MB/17MB usage when site loaded by visitor, then quickly drop to

total used free shared buffers cached
    Mem: 32 14 17 0 0 6
    -/+ buffers/cache: 8 23
    Swap: 32 11 20

    More than enough :)

  • I didn't even see this thread til now. What a fun thread!

It was bumped up to 100gb a few months ago, both for new and existing customers.

Sounds like I'm gonna be getting one... :D

  • just got one and hooked it up onto Coda, working pretty well after I configured it with minstall! (using about 10mb ram with php and nginx)

  • @Researcher: you rock!! I have 10 but just use for VPN. It's not easy for noob like me to configure as you! Could you please write some tuts :D

  • @Damian : Thanks for the upgrade, actually i notied that bandwith upgraded to 100 GB which is not bad, also the performance of the vps is great.

  • @sonic : well yes you are correct that its not easy to configure pptpd, because many of the tutorial on the internet either is outdated or are not openvz specific, also i have seen that lot of people want 32 ipxcore specially for vpn need, i will write a tutorial in a new thread for sure. once again thank you @Damian and ipxcore for quality services and affordable prices.

  • So how did you set up pptpd over openvz? I'd love to know this.

  • netomxnetomx Moderator, Veteran

come on! they are tons of tutorials for pptpd in openvz and debian

  • Guys don't get too many ipxcore 32mbs! If i remembered corretly they're losing money on them and if we get too many of them they may stop offering it one day

I'll share that serverdragon does 32mb ram vps too, with 500gb bw

  • @Damian said: both for new and existing customers

I applaud you good sir, most providers just screw their existing customers over.

  • well it seems 123systems does too but more ram and bandwidth for cheaper price. I don't understand how can they be so cheap. My website is hosted with them, so far so good, but i fear that they gonna disappear from one day to the other. Don't tell me it is sustainable.

I laughed so hard at that.

You may want to check your sources, and potentially stop using them as a source of information.
