    Probably can be doubled.

  • Nice offer.

  • I am not interested in buying VPSes, but i like the sound of your promo code ;-)

  • Cool, thanks, might pick one of these up later. Will this coupon expire?

Updated by a few requests, threw in a 1GB option as well

  • Chris,
you are really a VPS hero, :)

    Thanks Tinyray :)

  • Glad to see a Xen offer for a change :)

  • Looks nice! How long will this offer be valid for?

  • CVPS_ChrisCVPS_Chris Member, Patron Provider

until the next Xen offer, we just deployed a few machines

  • Memory balooning?

  • @MannDude said: Memory balooning?

I'm not sure, but knowing CVPS, they're probably doing it to some degree. I think I'll wait for some benchmarks/tests to appear before grabbing one, as I'm tired of the reboots on my 2GB OVZ and want to move to a more stable VPS (2GB isn't worth the headache of daily reboots).

  • Difference between OpenVZ and Xen:

    • Xen allocates and thus reserves memory (RAM can't be oversold unless people turn their VM's off)
    • Xen has modeprobe etc internal

No real big difference besides that.

  • @CVPS_Chris - Best of luck with your offer Chris, it's good to see you back in the game and on top.

@BronzeByte - There is a whole lot more difference than that, Xen is a different architecture than OpenVZ. I don't want to get into it right now, but yes, there is a whole lot more to Xen than OpenVZ, not to mention resource isolation :)

  • Loading abuse customers [=============>] 100% complete.

    :P

  • @Ishaq It's next to impossible to abuse Xen other than running dd 24/7.

  • That's true.

  • Another -crazy- super sales from you :D
Good luck with the offer :)

What is the cpu speed for this?

    No memory ballooning

  • @CVPS_Chris - Do you even know how memory ballooning is done on Xen?

  • nice xen offer

We have talked about it before, but never did it. I cant say I fully remember how it works

  • @CVPS_Chris said: No memory ballooning

    Hmm, really good offer then.

  • @CVPS_Chris could you please update your templates ;) Buffalo still doesn't have Ubuntu 12.04. Thanks ;)

That was pretty much my point :) - Memory ballooning with Xen is like an air bubble in a bottle of water, you move it around but you never get rid of it. If anyone else is wondering, memory ballooning hasn't been done in a while by anyone because it's more work than it's worth.

Fresh Xen templates for SolusVM -> http://www.stacklet.com - I hope this helps :)

  • Instead of big Ram, can you provide smaller one, ex 128MB and yearly payment would be fine. My friend need that for backup storage.
    Thanks.

Irresistible offer, I thought you would never post an offer on your XEN packages. Thanks

  • Well since nobody is bothering to post specs, and since I needed to move anyways, I went ahead and grabbed one (512MB Xen).
