Rapidleech, Torrenflux, rutorrent auto Installer + Lighttpd - PHP - MySQL | Debian 6 32bit
!(http://www.lighttpd.net/light_logo.png)
Hello All,
I recreated NginX Auto Installer script for Lighttpd Mini Installer + Rapidleech and Torrentflux + rTorrent 0.8.6 + RuTorrent 3.4 for debian 6 32bit
For the sources, i took em from here
- Lighttpd 1.4.31: http://www.lighttpd.net/download
- PHP 5.3.18: http://php.net/downloads.php
- MySQL 5.1.66: http://www.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html
- Rapidleech 4.1: http://www.rapidleech.com
- Torrentflux 2.4: http://sourceforge.net/projects/torrentflux
- rTorrent 0.8.6 + RuTorrent 3.4 http://code.google.com/p/rutorrent
Instruction
- Download the script from here
http://repo.regolithmedia.co.id/Lighty_RL_TF_mini_installer.zip
- unzip Lighty_RL_TF_mini_installer.zip
- chmod +x lighty.sh nambah.sh
- Run ./lighty.sh and follow the instruction, then wait until the process is complete
- If you want to add domain and Rapidleech, Torrentflux, or rTorrent + RuTorrent please run ./nambah.sh
IP Directory: /usr/html
So why Lighttpd? For Rapidleech, Torrentflux, or rTorrent + RuTorrent i assume that we shouldn't be too worried about lighty's memory leak, also initial memory usage is lower than Engine-X so for Rapidleech or Torrentflux activity with personal low end box can be more optimized.

Oh Gawd.
someone mind explaining what's Torrentflux + rTorrent 0.8.6 + RuTorrent?
i've used torrentflux before but im confused with rtorrent and rutorrent.
There's another provider with torrent enabled in here, for example vps6, buyvm. So why not?
BTW, welcome to LET mas bro
there are 3 choice in auto installer that you can choose
1. rapidleech
2. torrentflux
3. rtorrent + rutorrents
for torrentflux and rtorrent + rutorrent are software with same functions but rtorrent+rutorrent have better speed in seeding torrent than torrentflux [torrentflux need mysql(rtorrent don't need it)]. In general feature rutorrent have better features like mediainfo, rar-unrar,and other(i include in my auto installer)
I'm waiting for nginx guide.
Why? I'm sure a ton of users here torrent, and buy LEBs just to use as seedboxes.
Certain hosts do not allow torrenting due to the fact that they eat up a ton of I/O.
BTW, welcome to LET mas bro
thanks, mas bro
it's true, but some provider allow torrent to attract more people or believe the node could hold some torrent/rapidleech.
why? i think lighttpd are not eating much ram same with nginx. you should try lighttpd and compare it with nginx(i tried and it's not very different with ram usage than nginx). i'm still experimenting in lighttpd, maybe i will try with nginx later(but I'm not promise)
Just make a nginx version to keep him happy.
ok, will give a try
just teaser maybe i will post vpn auto installer for debian 6 32bit first
thanks for the installer
No special reason.
You should try it. It will make SimpleNode happy.
Torrentflux is terrible, why would anyone use it in 2012?
Rest, easy enough to setup on your own
Transmission
Deluge @djvdorp @wintereise
@regolithmedia what would be the avg ram usage / load with Lighttpd + rTorrent 0.8.6 + RuTorrent
With no torrents, a couple of megs, gameon.
@eastonch I just run rT headless, Deluge chews through CPU like crap every time you reach any formidable speeds. Ah well, Python though, so that's nice.
Vote transmission
@wintereise and just run it CLI? Seems like a good idea; I like the web interface of deluge i have on my mKS 2G -- 100MBit port speed; CPU is hardly being touched (latest release of deluge however). I've got two sites; a Open-VPN setup and deluge0webui running. Total cpu usage is below 10% at any time and loads are 0.01 -> 0.09 through my own monitoring.
rTorrent was my favourite until I got bored of it; the only downside to the web ui is that i Can't download from it, like I can't go onto it and double click a file and DL it; that's preferrential; as i was usin it as a middle man because my ISP is anti-p2p even for legal torrents for patches etc.
I think uTorrent introduced that 'Dling via WebUI' thing, hm.
Either way, I just have a HTTPd doing that job for me, so np.
Also, I hear you game a lot, add me on Steam http://steamcommunity.com/id/Wintereise/
I don't use torrent and stuff, but thanks for sharing.
Good contribution. Torrents are used for legal distributions of stuff too...
rTorrent installer was in tuxlite a while ago, stored it myself here:
https://github.com/djvdorp/UnixScripts/blob/master/torrent
Sweet.. How easy would this be to port to C6?
Could anybody suggest me a LEB provider which allows torrent? I haven't succeeded in finding one.
According to the man himself, Hostigation does, sorta.
Most of us do, until you use it illegally and we get a legal request. My rule is I don't care until I get a DMCA. When that happens, you stop using bittorrent. If it happens again, it's up to me to decide to give you another chance or just terminate. Depends on how I feel about it, especially if I already told you once
good policy
