My control panel also, maybe it's a global platform for both VPS and cloud ?

I ended up ordering the $3.49 OVH SSD VPS 2016 today to test it out. The only other service I have ever used from OVH is their $2.99 Classic VPS (OpenVZ) back in 2014 and I only had it for a couple of days before I canceled it early because the performance/uptime was absolutely terrible.

I'm pretty happy with the peformance of this 2016 VPS and I did a freevps, Serverbear, and Geekbench incase anyone was interested.

I plan on putting 1 production website on this VPS to see how it holds up and to see if the uptime is good and if the performance will stay the same.

    OVH VPS 2014 - Cloud 50GB

  • anyone?

  • It only gets a single public IPv4 address currently.

  • I got x2 VPS 2016 both got stuck on reinstall seems they have few issues with it.

  • Does OVH allow to send emails from these VPS ? Is it any restrictions?

  • why should they restrict something. you won't do mass mailing, would you?

    Thanked by 1inthecloudblog
  • They should block it by default

  • OVH have very good and strict automated anti spam stuff :)

I had their 2014 model in Canada, which was laggy but typical for it's price range. Then... In 2015 it got amazingly fast for the price. For 50 cents more (compared to 2014 price) you got 1GB more RAM, KVM instead of OpenVZ, plus the SSD.

Hosting some stuff on Canada, cheapest SSD line; LEMP, IRC and TS3 and about to setup Minecraft for my kids. Great performance, good latency, no problem.

Gotta love those $3.50 OVH servers. Nothing comes close.

I'm impressed by the fact that no one is complaining about any downtime on his vps ssd

I have a really bad ioping on my GRA VPS cloud (support told me the issue will be fixed with a NVMe upgrade), and I'm considering to move everything there on a VPS SSD.

Besides the 1 day major outage in BHS awhile back I have had 100% uptime on my $3.50/month SSD VPS in BHS

So do you prefer VPS SSD or Cloud VPS SDD line?

Assuming you were talking to me, VPS cloud is better (and faster); but if VPS SSD is so good, in some cases I can bear those 5-10 euros less:-)

I was.referring to the Cloud SSD line that matches the.SSD VPS line.

  • Dumb one : how do I add a second vps ? Is it from the cp ?

Main site, just walk through order process again and then you login during checkout.. I believe.

  • Has anyone had better luck with Gravelines over the Canada location? I have both, but it appears that the Gravelines location is a little better.

Attempted doing so with no luck .
I'd been having issues with processing some orders ( hetzner dedi ) and tried from job computer and went fine.
Maybe it's my computer but I doubt it's the same this time
