Australian IRC hosts?

Oh, and it should be KVM virtualization.
No idea for Australia. Why does it need to be there exactly? Not like latency makes and difference with a ircd? I used FDC when i was running ircds and it worked well. They use OnAPP+? not sure.
Just a thought.
@RealVPSReview
It has better latency to those connecting to the IRC from Australia. That's the idea.
Try Google and WebhostingTalk.
I quickly found these Australian hosts listed on WHT using Google..

Just put it on the west coast, for IRC it's 140ms to 220ms ping. Perth will have a longer ping time, but for the rest of Australia that should be fine.
Do you know which locations/DCs/providers can get 140ms? We're in Sydney here and of all the providers I've tried in the US, the best I could get was ~190ms. I've tried this also with different ISPs here to confirm if it's specific route issues etc. This is just a simple ping.
@concerto49 I get just under 200ms to Fremont in Melbourne.
About the same here. I'm just wondering how to get 140ms VNC with ~200ms still isn't fun on Windows.
Is it for a private IRC network? I might change my TOS...
I'm getting 47ms on that, nice!
@Oliver
Public, it's fine though.. found another host in AU.
Who? If you don't mind me asking. :-)
@Oliver are you updating your LEB offer this month?
No I am not, sorry.
I will probably not be changing it till I put another node in which will run with KVM anyway.
@Oliver
VPS.net
@Ishaq Did you get the smallest $20 a month cloud server?
@Oliver
The AU location comes to $40, but I got a little deal there.. plus it comes with 150GB of b/w
Do you mind sending me the IP when you have it? I'd also be interested to see some speed tests. I presume it's in Sydney...
@Oliver
I guess, sure. It is in Sydney, yes. With a 1Gbit port speed.
LA is 130ms from Sydney.
Thanks for bringing up a thread from 2012 to tell us this.
