  • Looks fine for me:

    [root@web ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test_$$ bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -f test_$$
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 3.95456 s, 272 MB/s

    I made this test right now
    dd if=/dev/zero of=test_$$ bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -f test_$$
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1,1 GB) copied, 192,906 s, 5,6 MB/s

    The bigger problem is the answer that he gave me, basically I was told to keep it as it is, so the only thing I can do is to transfer everything and turn the vps off.

    Securedragon: Registration Date: 04/25/2012.
    32mb.

    Another 32mb, this from ipxcore: 08/08/2012.

    128mb from InceptionHosting
    Registration Date: March 21st, 2012

    All active as today.
    Thats the oldest, still active servers that I have with providers.
    The Inception server is up for a reinstall any day now. It served its purpose very well so far.

    Can you please be the other kind of difficult and painful

  • i remembered the first time buyvm was launched, low price high quality, people were scrambling to buy it and always out of stock. they even created this doesbuyvmhavestock website, haha...

    btw i'm using ramnode for one year now, previously i was just moved from one to another leb / heb provider.

    All of the above are from 2012.
    Ipxcore is $1.50/quarter. To cheap to give up ;)

  • I'll complete my one year with @dediserve this November.excellent provider(not leb to be exact).

    using vpsdime since one year without any issues.top notch stuff.using their birthday vps plan

    my first leb was weloveservers when they started advertising at leb in 2013. unfortunately due to performance issues, I had to cancel it

    Because big=quality? Nope, see http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/62216/leaseweb-having-troubles-vps-offline-for-2-days-now

    Unless you mean dedicated ... yes, that is more reliable (usually).

    A dedicated is more reliable if:
    It has some raid=/= RAID0;
    Is fairly new, including the disks;
    The provider is serious and has replacement parts on site plus people all the time to actually replace them.
    Power and network are the same, so we can only compare the actual hardware. We also assume same location and datacenter, otherwise we compare apples with oranges.

    I have been with BuyVM @ Francisco since April, 2011, and still have an active VPS. Love it, and @Francisco support is simply outstanding.

    On the ipxcore?

  • yup, the $1.5 plan

  • The provider I was and am the longest time with is VPSDime. Over a year now and counting. Got their 7$/y deal and just love this box.

    yeah me too. i guess the meaning of LEB has changed from the first time was "64mb / 128mb for < $7" to "512mb / 1gb for < $7"

    is there any provider mentioned here has debian 8 and ubuntu 15.04 template?

  • Have been using INIZ for 2 years now, without any problem, good performance until now. But it expires next month... What to do, what to do..

    Been with BuyVM since the 06/2010. I might have had something even older than this but can't remember far back after this.

  • @mikho what do you the box for? I never had a anything less than 256 myself

    I used as a jumpbox for a project I had, it ended last year. I also used it as a vpn and for irc.

  • @rgenzon said: Renew, renew? Lol :P what kind of problems were you having?

    I had no problems. I am still happy with them. But because of recent events, I don't know if I will continue for a 3th year.

  • singsing said: Because big=quality? Nope, see http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/62216/leaseweb-having-troubles-vps-offline-for-2-days-now

    Yeah that is pretty embarrassing for leaseweb..

    same experience with dedicated for me :D

    I made a 1 click backup and install script to be able to simply move to a new server instantly. :) Very convenient also if you want to switch server for other reasons.

  • My oldest one, FanaticalVPS. Now Afterburst.

    I have invoices form March 2011, from an absurd offer published at LEB.

    Still going strong and solid as ROCK for a gameserver since that time.

    Probably not a low end provider, but an underrated one.
