I believe they were ogohosting.com before hostingbox, and they just rebranded

  • @Above

    Yes correct!

  • Here is my experience with HostingBox:

    • Sept 2: Ordered one server @ $35
    • Sept 2: Opened a ticket for the possibility to be deployed in Dallas, no answer
    • Sept 5: I receive new login credentials for a server in Buffalo
    • Sept 5: Try to login to SSH, login infos incorrect
    • Sept 5: Opened a ticket
    • Sept 6: Still no answer

Now I wonder if those guys are serious or not ? Not too professional if you ask me.

Anyway lesson learned, never buy an E3 for $35, you will waste your time... and money.

Strangely, few minutes after this post I receive a ticket answer with a new password and apologies ?

Yes, the network in Buffalo is complete crap. I don't understand why CC still does nothing about this ? @JBiloh How could one use the server with those speeds ?

  • @FredQc Just wait for the packet loss!

  • Another update

I've sent two tickets reply since September 6th, no answer yet... @17brownj

I would avoid this host - well, I should say reseller - at all cost.

    Stay away from them :P

P.S. I've contacted @Ernie concerning the very, very bad speed and routing for this server and he was glad to help. Sadly I think there's not much he can do, since that's a CC problem... thanks anyway ;)
