    It's not clear at all, maybe it gets refunded?

    Maybe someone from online.net could clear it up?

    I know in the UK banks sometimes reject payments of £1 or like 1p as they're quite often linked to fraud.

    @Coffee @mosan7763 @krs360 It is only an authorization request to trigger the 3D secure validation of your card, no money will be taken and the authorization request will disappear from your card statement within a few days.

    I swear if you add PayPal the world will love you.

  • So how does this compare to the kidechaire specials. What's the CPU like in comparison?

  • @jeromeza Feel free to discover it by yourself at http://instantcloud.io :)

  • how does this stack up against DigitalOcean?

  • @apdo said:
    how does this stack up against DigitalOcean?

    It doesnt

    DO = VPS
    Scaleway = dedicated server

    DO = x86/64
    Scaleway = ARM

  • @apdo as explained by @TinyTunnel_Tom our servers are real dedicated servers, you will always have the whole system available for you. There are no noisy neighbours. You can test it for free at http://instantcloud.io

    I was a user of their free beta from a few months ago: of course you can run PHP. I had Ubuntu as an OS, and you can just install php or any other package with "apt-get install php5", like on a regular Ubuntu.

    PHP is not a one package, i can't install all packages on any OS, like Debian, Ubuntu...

  • @bene_online Is streaming allowed? (full 200mbit/s utilization 24/7)

  • Hah.. competitors battle

    Online.net vs OVH new KVM line Same price, who better? :)

  • @boernd There is no traffic limit :)

    Could you please also improve Object Storage service. Recently I was migrating some buckets from S3 to your storage. And I was unable to upload 100k files. Networks was down or server returned 500 error. Very unstable. Then I successfully migrated these files to the OVH Cloud without any outage. Please improve.

  • @Gulf : normally it should be OK now, can you open a ticket about your case please?

    But it's a genial idea to provide 100% S3-compatible service for 1 cent. Thank you. Please improve upload speed and you will kill S3 :)

  • @bene_online Could you answer my question about the pricing please?

  • @Gulf: We'll have a look at your ticket.
    @cassa: The price is explained on our website https://www.scaleway.com/pricing/
    If you start an instance with a C1 node, a reserved IP and a 50GB SSD storage and run the instance for more than 500 continuous hours you will never pay more than 2.99 Euro per month for it
