probably the way DCI (AS12880) blocks it.

  • open a ticket with your host to forward/enable GRE protocol traffic to it i think they don't block it for a reason i don't wanna say here

  • this will help you setup PPTP server in CentOS i checked it tutorial works

Use the ssh one, as long as you have ssh access, you can use it to do VPN.

  • PPTP has been long damned. It's not cryptographically secure and easy to identify in your traffic.

Look for a SSL VPN solution, ocserv for example, which you can connect with standard Cisco Anyconnect clients.

no Mao, it's different. their firewalls can detect unusual traffic on ssh and cut off the connection!

    they also throttle ssh traffic!

  • i have contacts there @TarZZ92 but u can believe Wikipedia Article (OR) what you want to believe And for a fact i know About censorship in countries like Iran, china& others

as do i lol. still changes nothing. PPTP is blocked. as is many other. that's why they use likes of softether/

  • Something over standard HTTPS port? Surely that won't look too suspicious.

Bear in mind LET is not over SSL, so I'm sure Iran knows you are searching for a VPN solution!

i think softether use that, but it's only a matter of time untill that get's throttled as SSH has.

  • PPTP is filtered by ICT and DCI - SSH is highly rate limited (15KB/s on DCI) to prevent traffic tunneling. OpenVPN ports are blocked but scrambled works on different ports. Softether and Shadowsocks work fine. Tor IPs and common VPN provider IPs are nulled as well.
