Why would anyone do that? That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard... It's way better to ask random people on a forum with no affiliation to the company in question.

LET is not a help desk and I would fully support any provider ignoring support PMs from someone who hasn't raised a proper ticket.

Go and raise your ticket, and you'll get an answer.

It's a mark of how bad things have become that we even have to ask questions like this.

Partially, it's the fault of providers for entertaining support requests via LET, but people should still know better.

You honestly could've clicked on cociu's profile, clicked 'discussions' - and if you click through the last couple offers they all list either 10TB (black friday promo) or 30TB (normal price).

Also, sorta related, the box I got from @cociu for BlackFriday is awesome. I hope it's not just me sitting on an empty node, but the disk i/o and network and amazing. Will be grabbing another if it holds up.

  • They answer tickets pretty fast... However if you need to use nat tables, you need to put in a ticket to have them activated... Took me a while to figure that out! But support was good and quickly activated them in the configuration...

I have weird routing to the VPS, goes about 1000 miles the wrong way before it circles back to them... :(

Looks like it may be, I don't see ploop being used.

Presumably from the wording of the OP he doesn't have an account so he can't:

    a) raise a ticket

    b) see inside the control panel.

This is a reasonable pre-sales question. As LET is used heavily (especially by @cociu) for LE Sales, it seems reasonable to send a PM asking the question. Not having received an answer it seems just as reasonable to ask the (many) LET Hostsolutions subscribers...

    Just my tuppence

You can raise a pre-sales ticket on HostSolutions.ro without an account.

Not saying that a PM is unreasonable, saying that not raising a pre-sales ticket because you didn't get a response via PM doesn't make sense.
