VPS for VPN in China - Custom Routing ?
Hello,
I am creating a VPN server for me to use in China.
I am wondering on top of getting an ISP which optimized route to China, is there anything else that can be done to improve speed ? Like custom route or IP transit ?
Seems to me host like quadranet are already doing this...
Cheers

VPN for China-World is shit, try shadowsocks
Sure, do you have 250 USD/Mbit available budget?
QuadraNet does not do shit; US based China bound transit gets oversold by now heavily also - if you want unshared capacity you need to buy it in Asia, ideally in HK, Taiwan or Japan. Which comes at said price.
Hello William, i am asking cause some VPN provider i am using are using Quadranet and so far i am getting great speed. What do you imply by that then ?
thx
Yes to all your questions, but state your budget.
I pretty much give up on Chinese users in my infrastructure.
try to use VPN (QN) inside China (ISP: ChinaTelecom), I bet you will get "great" speed like 100kb/s, or 300kb/s maximum,
of cause with 20% packet loss 24.7
well, at least, that is my experience on ASIA OPTIMISED network from QN
Hello Busbr,
budget below 100 usd a month ideally.
thx
@Roniko, if you dont need/expect gauranteed speed all the time, we offer well priced options that are good for China via HGC.
$100/M may be doable for a smallish VPS. Presumably your HW requirements are minimal? What is your expectes data transfer usage / month?
