Would you like to have another Server Management similar to ServerPilot ?

If you guys remember, last year I introduce the WHOP over here: LET thread on WHoP

Now the same guys did work on with that and evolved to become RunCloud. Then, I think why not I introduce to you guys again ... And please do try out and feedbacks to them. Also this time I let them know that I'll be posting here and they will come and answer any question/feedback directly.

I'm kind of affliated to them right now, but I assure you all that I'm not earning anything by sharing out in here. I simply want them to be more exposed and make their product better.

So, what is RunCloud.io ?

RunCloud allows you to deploy with:
1. Automatic Update Configuration
1. Multipe PHP Version (5.5, 5.6, 7.0). 7.1 will come after it has reached stable phase
1. GIT Deployment & Webhook
1. SSL/TLS by Letsencrypt or custom provider (Configured to comply with PCI-DSS, NIST & HIPAA)
1. Script installer (Wordpress, Joomla, etc)
1. Server Health Check & Notification

Check it out many more in https://runcloud.io/features.html

BUT! RunCloud right now ONLY support Ubuntu 16.04! Take note on this.

Currently, they are giving away their Pro account for free for one whole month, where you can manage unlimited number of servers and create sub-accounts to help you manage your servers.

Promo ends 26 November 11.59 PM (GMT +8 timezone)

So you can start register here https://manage.runcloud.io/auth/login

BIG NOTE! Do not do this on your production server.

  • I would not. Don't we have enough point-and-click things that leave servers in a broken state with no ability for the end user to know what's been changed? I'm sure these mean well, but they only increase support load by destroying a customer server, then requiring the customer to open a ticket asking for help to reassemble the pieces.

  • @Foul nice reply :)

@Damian I see your point about that. I really did not think from service provider perspective.

Right now i don't have any answer for terminal heroes. But thank you for your opinion :)

My apologies, my initial response may have been a bit harsh. But as someone on the support end of the situation, the unlimited proliferation of these "control panel" or "management" things is not a boon.

What are you guys doing differently than everyone else?

At first the product sounded really interesting and I was thinking of trying it out, then I went to the FAQ Page and noticed this:

However if our revenue is too low, we might be forced to remove the free package.

That killed my interest even though I was interested in the Pro package, that line there shows uncertainty and unprofessionalism which isn't something I want to deal with. Just my two cents as feedback to the developers :)

    Good luck though.

Control The Daemons RunCloud will help to monitor & save server resources by managing the service list. RunCloud is intelligent and diverse enough to stop any unused services from Nginx, HTTPD, Supervisord and PHP-FPM running in the background.

Sounds interesting. Kind of reminds me of the halting problem. I'd have thought keeping something on because you want it on and off because you want it off, is a pretty good methodology.

    Then take it offline! :D

  • @Bochi as you wish..

  • More stepped price maybe, could make the business more sustainable.

Here is another totally free panel if anybody want to try:
    http://www.bt.cn/Download/btsoftlinux.html

  • First, cloudrino.io offers SSL on their free accounts.

Second, I assume you would downgrade the server from Pro to Free account once the 30 day trial period has lapsed (??) which essentially means more mess on the server.

Looks interesting. Is it offered in English?

cloudrino.io.. open up and ssl error.. no mess will happen since you still get auto update from our repository..
