Let's Encrypt Plugin for cPanel - Feedback?

https://letsencrypt-for-cpanel.com/pricing

Hello Community!

What plugin do you use to integrate Let's Encrypt into cPanel? Is it the one I posted above?
If you have experience with it, I'm interested in hearing your experiences.

Thank you!

  • My 2¢: The website is too shady.

@jarland: I'd love to see some let's encrypt integration in MXroute.

  • My thoughts exactly but it is listed in the cpanel official market, dont know if they do any kind of revision before allowing listing.

That's the plugin most hosts use yes. It works flawlessly for us, no complaints and does everything we'd want it to.

We use it, works great no problems.

Pointless, as cPanel has already module built in.

cPanel has two options of SSL: Let's Encrypt and cPanel. Pointless to pay for something already exist, I know that some module operates different but the result is exactly the same!

try also open source module: https://github.com/Prajithp/letsencrypt-cpanel

  • Went with the cPanel official one listed in my previous reply. Thanks for letting me know it was already there, available.

I've used that plugin and to be really honest with you its much better than cPanel implementation but nowadays I don't see a point to purchase something, cPanel has integrated LetsEncrypt themselves.

  • The AutoSSL is quick solution. If you are shared hosting provider note 2 points with cPanel AutoSSL.
    1. Certificates that Let's Encrypt provides can secure a maximum of only 100 domains per cPanel virtual host.
    2. Make sure to disable AutoSSL for domains which do not require. Else an SSL will be provisioned.

100 domains per cPanel virtual host Means 100 ssls per account or per server?

I use the AutoSSL one that comes with cPanel included and it seems to work fine...

  • Clarification on the 100 SSL limit would be appreciated!

If I'm correct, doesn't their AutoSSL solution not work with mail services? Where regular SSL installation does, and I think this plugin might.

Me too. It would solve a lot of tickets. It's definitely on my mind. The webmail proxy isn't part of the user's virtual host config though, so it's a different beast to conquer than that of websites.

I thought they finally fixed this in a recent update? https://features.cpanel.net/topic/ssl-certificate-per-domain-on-all-services
