  • We can do this for you in Tampa. You can view our storage VPSs here https://vapornode.com/storage-vps

Unfortunately our SSD VPS don't offer enough space in your budget. These are meant for "storage" but are still high performing.

You can use 15OFF code at checkout for a 15% recurring discount.

  • I'm not part of the tinfoil hat brigade, but I'd never upload anything to Amazon cloud drive I couldn't prove ownership of. Feels too risky.

  • When I first saw the Plex cloud being announced I thought "Oh cool" but the more I think about it the more it seems like a bad idea.

  • I think thats the first step to an own possibility to mount it secured.

I'd never upload any of the homemade tentacle hentai me and the lads have made to the Amazon cloud drive because they might prove ownership. Feels too risky.

    What?

  • The whole fuse crap is not working really well, but i think this will work too once they rebuild the cloud beta with an open source mechanism.

Are you talking about the same thing we are?

I was wondering why we wouldn't be able to have nice things, just what would be the thing to take down Amazon's unlimited offer.

Lots of people who run Plex servers use Fuse+ACD to store and retrieve media. Probably along the lines of what he was trying to discuss.

"This is why we can't have nice things" was also pretty much my first thought as the mail arrived.
I doubt they talked to Amazon before that. ;) And lets forget for a moment about the fact, das ACD's TOS don't allow files like that...
Don't get me wrong, I am a Plex pass owner and like their software and also this idea very much, but it could end up beeing simply a single dick move.
Just remember Microsofts SkyDrive / OneDrive and what happened to them. :P

  • online.net server limited + Stablebit CloudDrive + ACD Unlimited = Fun

I don't think that's what he's talking about at all, I think he's saying the Plex cloud beta is crap.

  • What I think ist, when the beta will work good and start to roll out.

There must be an open source alternative which is working better.
I tried the fuse ACD and it was not working well.

Fella, I you may be missing the point a little.

Do you really think Amazon Cloud Drive is a good place to put those files? It's in the interest of their bottom line to not let you host pirated content, so why would you even want to try?

  • I think overloading on media with Plex and similar derivatives is not only a bad use of your time, but also a bad financial investment.
