NodeDeploy throws in the towel! Help a refugee!
Just got an email from NodeDeploy guys saying that they're ending their service:
Unfortunately, you may have noticed that PayPal payments have been cancelled and the primary site is unavailable.
It has been a tough decision to make however after a large customer base loss following the Brexit vote we are unfortunately unable to continue operating
Initially when I implemented VAT MOSS into NodeDeploy it hit the company hard, however we managed to regain some ground and were in a good position, however in light of the recent events following the vote things took a turn for the worse and we've had a lot of cancellations over the past few weeks. I have tried to find a solution to keep the business alive however at this point it is being run out my own pocket and I can no longer afford to keep it online.
KVM and OpenVZ services will cease as of 21st September 2016. All services will remain online (minus the website) until that date when unfortunately, we have to close down. The VPS control panel is still available and manual requests can be made via [email protected]>
I'd like to thank you all personally for being loyal customers for however long you have been with us and it has been a pleasure.
If you have any questions, please email me on [email protected]. Please also contact me if you have domains hosted with us and would like the EPP codes to migrate them away.
So, I ended up searching for a new service. I was paying $7 for 2GB RAM, 2 cores, 50GB disk space VPS running FreeBSD. I really liked the service as I never experienced any issue with them.
Now I have to migrate to next provider, anyone got something similar/better for a refugee?

It's sad to see the first LET Brexit casualty. I however, fear it won't be the last.
On cheaper services people are not going to pay that extra 20%, more will fall, those that try to play an honest game at least.

What am I missing. These seem like incredible value from a top shelf host. In fact, they make the BuyVM OVZ offerings look rather overpriced.
We're phasing out OpenVZ, we just haven't setup these new plans in EU & east coast yet so we're leaving it alone.
OpenVZ customers will be emailed at some point asking them to move to the new plans as they're so much better
I'm currently working on getting unmetered BW included in the price.

I wish I could tell you, but they are just so far away.
I have the smallest slice running Windows 2012, and it feels snappier than any remote desktop that I have ever had. I have used Winity in the past, and this one just seems quicker. Obviously, this isn't a benchmark, but perception of speed is a big deal when using a remote desktop system.
On the CPU usage, are they capped or can you burst provided there are idle CPU cycles?
It's weight based so it only applies if the nodes out of CPU and it's having to balance things.
In reality we've yet to see a node be > 50% CPU to date.

What will happen with the 128MB openvz plan? I don't see any equivalent, but I could be blind.
Edit: I know there is a regular non-slice 128MB KVM plan, but it costs significantly more. I'm asking about what happens with the price mostly.
I won't phase those out but it's unlikely i'll put up more nodes. I'll give them a facelift once the other OpenVZ nodes start getting phased out. I might bump their space a bit since that's one of the bigger complaints with them.
As for our storages i'll be rebalancing the amount of RAM they get, I just need to arrange hardware upgrades to support it. Ideally I'd like to have it so they get half the ram of their E3 price counterpart, but get more space but I have to see what's doable hardware wise.

A few things for the price match is It has to be a real web host not a person selling on a reseller plan. They have to have been an LLC, corp or other type of business that we can verify.
We will ask for a copy of your last invoice showing the Specs of your VPS system and pricing you were paying.
We will migrate you over for free.
