What is the best place to buy a dedi for cheap that can support 3-4 game servers?

RAM? Processor? Location? Need DDoS Protection?

  • Ram: 16GB+ CPU 2.4GHz+ Location: North America DDoS protection needed

    SYS?

  • Being more specific about the game server you wish to host would probably help too. For example, Minecraft favors strong single threaded performance and SSD helps a lot with that game too.

  • Yeah I was wondering if there was anything cheaper than them though...

    Garry's mod & minecraft.

I would look into the OVH game brand as they have higher single threaded performance. Probably your best bet honestly.

The expense is the only issue 69.99 for those servers are expensive as hell

Well what is your budget per month?

For GMOD and minecraft you'll want the OVH game range. NFO are the next option I guess.

What are you on about? Those games could be hosted on budget providers.

Both games benefit from strong singlethreaded performance from what I understand admittedly this may of changed with garrys mod but I'm still certain minecraft benefits from strong single threaded performance also not to mention both attract DDoS attacks pretty frequently... while there are probably other viable options OVH is the only one I can think of that has customized protection for those game servers...

    https://www.ovh.com/us/dedicated-servers/game/
    https://www.nfoservers.com/

Nice singlethread processors and both with insane Anti-DDoS. Anyways, ovh > nfo

If you don't have that budget check ExtraVM @MikeA
    https://extravm.com/vps.html

OVH: Canada + i7-4790K 4.0GHz + ssd + anti ddos game (optimized for game)
    Psychz?: Dallas + E3-1230 v3 3.3GHz + ssd + anti ddos (i don't know a lot about it)
Both setups are awesome for minecraft and any gameserver in general.

I can do an E3 with 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD with 10Gbps DDos protection in New Jersey, let me know if interested?

Psychz DDoS protection is actually better than people rate it however it usually sits around 20-40Gbit which although it's good it isn't going to tank 20Gbit 24/7 unlike OVH

  • Why does no one come up with hetzners serverboerse?

https://www.soyoustart.com/ie/game-servers/ - it is 49.99 here, as low as it gets with their DDoS Game protection.

You'll need to provide an IE address to use services from their IE websites/panels though.
