Feel free to open a ticket with us to investigate the issue further, it is however not uncommon for Virgin to take some strange routes depending on congestion within their own network (not saying this is the case but it is possible).

Unfortunately they are one of the only UK ISP's we are not able to peer with at present given their requirements to do so.
