Hi,

I find a software for debian/ubuntu its called cpulimit so you can limited process zu 10% of a CPU core.
When i would start zipping a folder and limit the process to 10% would the I/O not so intensive or less?

Limiting CPU may or may not limit io to what you would consider acceptable. Some applications allow you to limit their io with a flag listed in the documentation. It's not always the case, nor does it always work. There is no io equivalent to cpulimit that doesn't require a special kernel. Nice values are your best option.
