How do you like Tragic Servers?

raindog308raindog308 Administrator, Veteran

I have a 128 from them I forgot I owned...I've never really used it.

Got a nice offer in email...but it's in the seems a bit too good to be true category (4GB RAM for < $4/mo). Not sure if I should really post it here since they haven't chosen to do so...really more interested in the TS reputation than this particular offer.

Opinions?

I haven't personally used them, but I know a lot of people who have and are happy with them.

  • i just doing vpn for personal use only, seem solid.

    Hey @raindog308,

Thanks for being a customer, we really appreciated it. I'm actually surprised this made it on LET since it was only sent to active customers. We only have some room left on that specific Dallas node (394 days uptime) which is why the offer went out to strictly active customers. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any specific questions.

Nice guy, good company. The only thing that is missing is KVM.

  • I bought the VPS offered here. I don't see an option to install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, so I submitted a ticket. We'll see how it goes, thanks.

  • It's all Tragic!

I don't think many OpenVZ providers have a Ubuntu 16.04 template yet. On my OpenVZ VPSes I just install a minimal 14.04 template, apt-get dist-upgrade to 16.04 and then systemctl disable certain systemd services.

Thanks for the kind words :) We're looking into adding KVM in the future, baby steps.

I am fully agree with you. I am not your customer yet as I see your company name start with "tragic" server. I was worry one day later there will be a big "disasters". It will be good If you could change your company name to others name which is more comfortable. This is just my suggestion. Anyway, good luck...

Are you serious? Do you stay away from RamNode because you're worried one day a ravenous creature will somehow eat the box your VPS is on? The only host that has this issue so far is Combozo.

I'm sure @Nick_A named RamNode after either Dodge Trucks or male sheep...well, anyway, your bones will be picked clean by Vultr.

Take it easy. What I found is Tragic = Disasters. That make me feel worry. Nothing much. Maybe one day later I will order from them. Have a nice day.

It's a big thing to ask a company to change their name because of your feelings.

  • b6688b6688 Member

    @daily

Yes. Understand that. So, please ignore my replied as I have no intension to spoil the company reputation. Tragicserver is a good company anyway.

  • Second year with them. Did not had any problems till now.

I had a nice and dirt cheap VM. It had good performance, but I cancelled it because I had too much VPS.

Message to anybody: If you like any of their offers, go for them, you won't regret.

  • shellsshells Member

How does the performance compare to Ramnode for similar-sized slots?

  • I've had one vps with them for almost 2 years and just got another at the current deal they had. I have had almost no issues over this time. Their support had been quick and helpful as well which made it an even better deal.
