Server to scan the internet

GCatGCat Member

So, as the title says, I'm looking for a server to scan the entire internet. I'd do it from my home network but last time I did that, well, Bell wasn't too happy with me.

It's for a talk I'm going to give at an upcoming conference in Ottawa in about 4ish months.

Can anyone supply? Needs 4-6 TB bandwidth, only scanning for 2 ports, that's it. Shouldn't take long. If no one can I'll just use my business network to scan.

Shoot me offers if you can

Go to the 33c3, at the 31c3 they had like 100Gbit, guess what they did.

    If you can wait.

Otherwise find a Provider, who allows port scanning and is not giving a shit.

Hetzner seems to be pissed, if they get inbound Portscan Abuse mail.

    Just out of curiosity...

I take it the scan results are going to be used for the presentation?

What ports are you going to be scanning?

I used OVH last year to scan 2 ports (cpanel ports, looking for web providers) but it did trigger an "unusual network activity" automated email to me. I mentioned what I was doing in reply and the dialogue ceased there. Not sure if they're OK with it or not.

Found a host that'll let me do it.

@Gcat mind sharing that host with me? Not seeking anything illegal but similar situation and only for the purpose of statistical data
