Atom N2800 from $25/month

edited February 2013 in Offers

This is an offer for small dedicated servers based on Atom N2800 (2 cores, 4 threads, 1.86GHz). There are many options to choose from, the lowest plan is $25 / month. 5 IPs available for free, read below. There is no long term contract.

Servers location: Varna, Bulgaria

Some background: Company name Telecoms Ltd., registered in it's current form since 1998. Operating own network - AS16154. RIPE LIR since 2000. Our main business is ISP.

We also own the FitVPS brand, the current offer for dedicated server will be handled under the same brand, in the future we will decide whether to create a separate brand or a separate company for the dedicated servers offers.

This is the initial offer for this plan, the stock is very very limited (only several available).
Here is the link to the plan: https://www.fitvps.com/members/cart.php?a=add&pid=19

I will also throw in a little teaser / promotion for this offer - order with 2GB RAM, get upgraded to 4GB RAM for free.

For this initial offer i will handle personally all orders. You should not order directly on the website, instead you PM me if you are interested.
Normally we should do ID verification for the dedicated servers and i don't like this at all. So i am going to take personal responsibility for the few persons who will get this from the initial offer, however i also get to choose who can get it and who can't.

Respected LET community members get preference.
Current or past customers with account in good standing get preference.
Registered companies get preference.

Now about the servers:
Unfortunately not all HDD options are available for now, namely the 120GB SSD are not available due to stock shortages.

Here is what the different HDD options currently means (not guaranteed to be the same in the future):

SSD 30GB A-DATA S396 30GB
250GB 2.5" 5400RPM HDD Seagate ST9250315AS
750GB 2.5" 7200RPM HDD Seagate ST9750420AS
1TB Enterprise 3.5" HDD Seagate constellantion ES ST1000NM011
2TB 3.5" HDD Seagate SV35 ST2000VX000
3TB 3.5" HDD Seagate SV35 ST3000VX000
120GB SSD Intel 520 series (currently not available)

Remote power management is included (power OFF / power ON / power cycle).
Installs are automatic, via the NOC-PS system. We can help with the initial installation in case it is something not handled by NOC-PS.
Windows is not available.

This plan comes with either 1 IP address or 5 IP addresses for free. However if you want more than 1 IP address a subnet will be assigned to you according to the RIPE rules, which means your name and other details will be publicly visible in the RIPE database. There is no privacy option for the RIPE database.

I am sure there are many questions that i haven't thought of, so ask and i will try to answer.

This initial offer is exclusive to LET, it will not be posted anywhere else.

It's on a VPS, but you get the idea.

I like your loc. Do you have any other servers that can handle a 16GB RAM?

  • @Simple3x do you want Varna or Sofia?
    https://www.fitvps.com/members/cart.php?gid=7
Sofia is not our facility though, it is in a third party racks.

By the way we are in the EU, not "offshore" or anything like that.

  • @rds100 Sofia is another region of bulgaria?

And gawd your whmcs cart looks scary. Idk why but it does.

  • @Simple3x yes, Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria. Check it on google maps :)

Don't know what's about the shopping cart :) Too many options maybe?

  • It's max 4GB per node right? It's a Supermicro 2U Twin3 isn't it? :P

  • @concerto49 yes, it's max 4GB, the Atom doesn't support more.
And no, it's not supermicro, the supermicros are with Atom D525.
This is atom N2800, standalone systems. No IPMI unfortunately.

  • IPv6 available? What about rDNS?

  • Yes, ipv6 is available after the system is installed, can be requested via ticket (it's actually very visible if you click on either on the plan link or on the test-ip link).
Also rDNS is available for both ipv4 and ipv6, via ticket.

  • By the way, every customer is put on a separate VLAN, IP spoofing is not possible.
Also we don't like IRC, porn is strictly forbidden as well as spam and we don't like DoS.
There is a ToS on the webpage, although it is for the VPS systems most of it should apply to the dedicated servers as well.

Also please follow @mitgib 's simple rule: "Don't bring drama to my house".

  • So finally it's launched :)
    Congratulations :)

  • @ErawanArifNugroho thanks :) We will see if it makes sense in the long term and whether we will add more types of systems in the future :)

  • it's really tempting even thought I'm in Canada.. but not fond of the IP SWIP idea!

  • @earl with single IP there is no assignment (SWIP). With more than one IP... sorry :) No privacy there.

  • @rds100 said: With more than one IP... sorry :) No privacy there.

Yeah I normally install proxmox or vmware so need more than one IP.. just as well I don't really need another Dedi to be honest :)

  • @earl unfortunately the atom doesn't support hardware virtualisation so proxmox doesn't work.

  • @rds100 said: @earl unfortunately the atom doesn't support hardware virtualisation so proxmox doesn't work.

Hmm I thought proxmox just needs 64bit CPU for OVZ I know KVM probably would not work without intel VT support.

  • Well, proxmox bombs out during the installation when hardware virtualisation is not available.
You could install a debian though, and then manually install the proxmox addons, maybe it will work this way.

Possible it does not work with the new version I think I tried with ver1.9 if I remember seems to work ok, but if not hypervm should work I think..

  • Bulgaria, does that mean I can do illegal shit on it?

    Hell, NO.
This is exactly why we don't post offers on LEB anymore, people think they can do whatever they want here.
We are in the EU (European Union, for those who don't know what this means). You can't do any illegal shit here.

We perform at minimum phone verification for every customer / order and we keep our network very clean of any kind of shit.

  • Got a word for our supplier that the 250GB SATA HDD is available again, not sure yet if the same model as mentioned above or different.

  • It's a good deal. very nice alternative to kimsufi, digicube, finalhosting, etc. The server performs very well for the price and the support provided is excellent.

  • Is this still possible? I am very interested!

  • Yes, it's still available. I'll answer your PM.
