Are these on the same type of impressive low end desktop grade hardware? the I3's? or something a little more robust?
Nice offer! Hopefully you have stock next time I have a need for a KVM
We have never used desktop grade hardware on our KVM services, and the few old OpenVZ servers running on i3 clarkdales will all be gone within the next 6 months.
These are Ivy bridge Xeon E3's
Ah very nice.
I had to cancel my vps because of the horrible IO I was getting but I loved the network so this is promising.
@ramnet I picked up one of the Standard plans yesterday. Are those also SSD cached or only the Mini series is?
Yes, your vps is on the new SSD-Cached servers now. It applies to all plans.
By the end of this month all KVM customers in Atlanta will be moved to the new SSD-Cached servers.
By the way, here is a ServerBear benchmark of this (Mini and Standard plans bench the same)
