Not much of a difference really. I can max the port on my OVH servers anytime.

OVH's network is better than online.net's at any time to any location.

You mean "why am i only getting 260mbit/s on a 250mbit/s guaranteed server during peak-time"?

    Yes, makes sense.

  • Online.net has 2,5 Gbps link but only 1 Gbps is usable.

  • It's capped by them:

    Internet bandwidth guaranteed Unmetered 1 Gbit/sec - 2500BaseX interface

In real life, I don't feel the difference between KS-4 and Dedibox XC

    nope,
we don't cap the network of servers by default (it can happen only, I insist on only, when you have been warned previously for abusive usage and did not want to pay to be able to use max capacity or reduce usage to a normal one)

if you want to burst 2.5gb/s for a few hours, it works and we are fine with it,
if you do so 24 hours a day every day, it's not going to be fine ;) (but we contact you first in that case)

    Mik

  • Example pings from Poland:

    • OVH 42 ms
    • Online.net 39 ms
