Hello!

what do you think about this order? is real fraud? if I validate, it's real the risk score? 99% probably will send spam or hack other servers?

How good is Maxmind checking orders from US IPs?

Thanks!

    Well, email in the database of high risk emails, means there were previously probably multiple reports of fraud. 99% means ruuuun!

    You shouldn't be taking advice from an online forum, if the order feels shady or not you need to make a decision by yourself, one that will benefit your company.

    Yes.

    It sound like this customer or person with the same IP and email previously been reported.

  • IP does not indicate location. IP does not lead to a specific person. I can't believe people are still thinking like this in this day and age. There's got to be some better way to do this. Perhaps one that works.

    @jmginer

    You can always follow those orders up for verification. We have an email that auto goes out asking for more info. 9 times out of 10 if they are fraud or spammer they will not respond to that email.

    If they are a good customer and just somehow got caught in the system they will respond and ask why.

    Once they respond with the info you asked for then you can do more checking and decided to either approve or decline the order.

    You can also check the customers info in fraud records. Once again this is not 100% but just another tool that you can use to help make up your mind on what you want to do
