HostBD24 downtime

baldoniusbaldonius Member
edited April 2016 in Help

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone else uses HostBD24? I want to hear if anyone else has had downtime today.

Two of my servers have been down since 8AM BST today. I've been emailing their support every four hours since then, with no response at all.

Cheers.

I've thought about it, it's about 2.30AM where they're based.

their slogan is "around the clock" so why not call them? lol

  • well their London location's down but @clouvider, their provider, is up.

Yeah, I did a bit of research on that. I bet their host server's just switched off or they forgot to pay their bill or something.

I'd forgive the extended downtime (+13 hours now) if it weren't for the radio silence.

  • yea but we shouldn't jump to conclusions at this point, wait for @hostbd24's summary

Considering they did need like many weeks to pay $50 to an affiliate... good luck.

I would recommend moving your stuff out as I haven't heard anything from the owner for almost 2 weeks. I personally stop working for them when communication ceased between staff and owner. I gave up my monthly salary to help the owner out to make things easy on him. I will try to get a hold of the owner again and let him know what is going on. But if you still have access please backup ur data.

It's completely unrelated. This website is hosted offsite, we're replacing the status page system, which will be live next week.

It looks like a simple non payment, and running away with customers money.

  • Wow, looks like I've started an active discussion here!

Thank you for all your contributions here. Still no response from them at all.

Not surprised after the fiasco not too long ago where they couldn't even send out $50.

Wow, some professionalism and common sense from a provider advertising in this forum. How unexpected!

spam me with similar cheapest UK or EU vps.
used that hostbd24 for over a month and were happy, but now after 2 days of downtime can't wait for A SINGLE WORD of what's going on, should move on to different host. :(

HostUS in the UK should be a better alternative.

there's tons of alternatives with "regular" price.
    the keyword is cheapest!
hostbd24 was $10/year and hostus you offered is $40/year.
    feel the difference?

i have lots of domains and spreading them to various ip/datacenters.
they doesn't worth to pay that much for each.

You can't really discuss the Client's account in public, can you?

  • +1 for Hostus.

you may post +1000 for hostus, but they're still $40/year
    i need 4 times less.
already found one $7/year in FR and ~$6/year in Netherlands
    but UK would be best.

and i'm still don't unterstand the silence that hostbd24 keeps :-\
is this so hard to put somewhere on their site (which works fine all this time) something like "we have troubles and we're working on it, keep calm" or at least "we're out of money to pay the servers, sorry".
people don't know what to do, move or wait a bit more...
