Edit: nevermind it seems that they have a knowledge base article about the installation.

So far it seems to be working fine, eventhough we had already developed and were testing a custom cPanel plugin on our servers.

Yep, this one works great and support is good too (I wanted to move a license from one server to another and they took care of it quickly)

As do we. Setup was painless, interface is very native.

  • If you buy the $30 one from https://letsencrypt-for-cpanel.com/ you can use it for more than one server as long as they all have the same ending domain name for the hostname.

Well it does say for under 5 servers, and that's what I'm using it for! I'm not sure if it's intentional or a bug.

To be fair it's a great plugin and works flawlessly, I just hope cPanel includes let's encrypt by default.

It's more likely a bug and what they meant with <= 5 servers is that buying that $30 plan is suitable if you have less or equal to 5 servers. If you have more than 5 servers, then the organization $150 plan would work best for you. It says $30 per server, not sure though :)

Oh well lol, sounds good then! In any case there is an official cPanel plugin coming VERY soon so its pretty much the end of them.

Indeed cPanel is working on this feature, it's planned for v58, 12-16 weeks from now. They released v56 just a few days ago. Module looks interesting nevertheless!

yes, it works great. somethimes i get an error:

Error occured: Status: 403, Detail: Error creating new cert :: Authorizations for these names not found or expired: validandregistereddomain.com, www.validandregistereddomain.com, Type: urn:acme:error:unauthorized

but i think is something about dns of domain

EDIT: is not working if domain doesnt resolve to cpanel ip.

if you have redirected the www or .domain then is not working.

An SSL cert is an SSL cert.

Let's Encrypt is no different to any other Domain Validated cert.

I guess he thinks the CA is a brand name and thus has a trust value associated to it. The more expensive the better maybe?
