Looking for New York VPS

Bubka3Bubka3 Member
edited February 2013 in Providers

I am looking for a New York VPS, which is impossible to find. I'd prefer if it had Voxel.net in the mix.

Just to be very clear, no Buffalo, NY offers please. I'd actually prefer it if the host didn't use ColoCrossing all together.

So NYC VPS, 256RAM, 10GB minimum.

FlipHost hosts in that area, I recommend giving them a try.

@Jack said: is Scranton PA any good?

Did you read the post and title at all? Why would I want a PA VPS when I specifically asked for a New York City one?

  • @Jack said: That's why I asked if it was any good, you were expecting someone to put Buffalo here which is above PA so I was asking if it would be okay.

You do realize that PA is a entirely different state right? I didn't think someone would be so [fill it in] to offer a VPS in a different state. I guess I was wrong.

Too new, private whois, no test IPs, spelling errors on site.

Just to recap, New York City VPS (NO BUFFALO).

Check recent LEB offer: http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/kazila-7month-512mb-kvmxen-vps-in-new-york-dallas-los-angeles/ (I am not their client, just suggestion)

  • DigitialOcean is in NYC I think

  • KVM in New Jersey over here, I realise that's not within NYC/Manhattan area but colo etc is much more expensive there hence the lack of LEB hosts.

Although we hope to offer service there at some time this year.

  • Isn't digital ocean in NYC?

They are doing some weird routing right now. I am in NY but they route through Chicago...

    I'll look into Digital Ocean.

    because you thought about it?

That's not very nice. You come to LET ask a question, we try to help, you just tell us to basically fuck off? At least we told you some places.

  • @Jack said: Any reason why you are being such a dick?

Any reason why people cannot understand I am not interested in their Buffalo/PA/NJ VPSes? How much clearer can I be?

  • @Jack said: Did you state that you didn't want PA or NJ VPSes?

    No you didn't

Yes I did, multiple times, in multiple posts.

Digitalocean.com has a new york location, I think NY City
$5 for 20GB of SSD on a very good network.

Do you have a test IP from these guys? I can't find one.

  • I would go with HVH, Ernie's a good guy and I have a VPS with him.

  • Go with Digital Ocean or Hudsonvalleyhost. Both are very good.

    Thread title

    Looking for New York VPS

I don't see why you are acting like a little Kid. Oh you are one.

  • Lol. Well when we do launch NYC I will be sure NOT to tell you.

You clearly can't find anything otherwise you wouldn't have asked, I simply gave you the reason for that. But yawn, find the info yourself elsewhere.

  • @Jack said: He said no Buffalo where does it say no PA?

    If reading the thread title,

    "Looking for New York VPS"

PA is closer to NYC but Not NYC. You are dumb and stupid. He specifically asked for New York City VPS.

If you can't read, get new pair of eyeglass

  • @Jack said: According to this map PA is Closer to NYC than Buffalo is.

And according to this map PA is not in New York.

Says the guy who registered on January 21st. :>

I've also been looking for a NY-VPS with Voxel, but got convinced
buying @FlipHost at Choopa. Just a general info not for OP.

  • Yawn op is dumb /thread

    @Bubka3

Fliphost will be two years old in June. Not entirely new.

I provide test IPs on every offer

Where are the spelling errors? I will make sure to fix them.

@Bubka3 @BBTN, you're unlikely to get voxel.net at this point. It'll open up possibly sometime this year.

Internap are still merging their infrastructure and working it out with voxel.net (as it is part of Internap now).

Looked at this before and it was a no-go.

Interesting that Kazila is routing via Chicago. If they are using Steadfast's bandwidth I'd expect better.

  • Guys,

I found this free tool that helps me find things on the Internet. It's called "Google"; it was named from a child's root word so it's a somewhat goofy name but it works extremely well.

Like I said, completely free. You can check it out here: https://www.google.com/
