Lol, you're trolling right?
Good luck.
1Mbps unmetered is a stretch at that price, let alone 100.
Good luck indeed.. You know majority of providers in AU charge at least $15 for very minimal specifications and bandwidth? You know why?
Bandwidth is so damn expensive out there..
It's getting better and better. I recently upgraded my FTTP plan to 100/40 with 3TB for $98/month.
Alright. $5 was just my starting price. What's the best I can do here?
Are you looking to adjust the price to match the specs or the specs to match the price?
Cuz the internet in AU is like a third world country... It's sad really.
Have a look at Vultr and RansomIT
I can do this in NZ with local* traffic only. :P
I'd say not the Internet in AU, but due to the geographical location international transit is quite expensive. While I don't live in AU that would be a major contributing factor from the networking point of view.
Infrastructure is horrible, it costs a lot for basic shitty plans, it is getting better... Not by much though.. FTTP would be good if they rolled it out faster...
It's similar in the UK, you have mainly copper or even aluminium to homes with only some FTTP development. FTTC is getting quite popular though.
The difference in pricing though likely is from the fact that even the 'basic shitty plans' need the transit, and transit is expensive in Asia-Pacific region.
Bottom line is that OP's request is completely unrealistic even with smaller amounts of bandwidth, and for the specs asked should be increased by >1000%.
Yeah not realistic at all as others said.
I can, however, do unmetered for you in NZ (10Mbps/s full-duplex) for 10 times the budget
[Still probably one of the cheap deals you will be able to get in the pacific region)
lol I don't think you'll find unmetered bandwidth in Australia since most ISP don't offer unmetered. The biggest bandwidth I've seen is 1TB
Just get a dynamic DNS on your NBN and use that to host your servers, unmetered internet for $50 per month in Australia.
You should’ve registered and suggested that 4 years ago.
Hosthatch still has 8gig 1TB xfer Christmas specials in AU for $37.50/yr and they're stackable. Not that OP is still around
link pls
thanks

@hosthatch
kinda interested in this, but i can't find the offer
Have to be logged in at Hosthatch first, then:
https://manage.hosthatch.com/billing/order/nvme8g-syd
Select 2 year term for the cheapest price.
thanks but this is with 40gb nvme & not 1tb
thanks. saw it, i thought it was 1TB storage. haha its BW.
haha sorry, xfer = transfer = bandwidth...
What fun to read my posts from 2016 again ;-)
22 hours to 2021 by the way :-)
is this a sly way to say... 22hrs until you make the AU expansion announcement? :-D fingers crossed
Not this year :-)
Closest thing I can think of is ovh:
AUD$ 6.80 /mo with a 2 year commitment
