I don't think so, pretty sure you can only install using their templates.

Out of the box no, but anything is possible from the rescue mode.

  • Does this work on the 'public cloud' variant of vps-ssd?

The detachable disks look tempting .

You can add an additional 16 IP's to these machines for a $3/per setup fee which is nice. I have quite a few of these running for a project already.

The only part I can find that mentions letting you add a disk is this pricing (pretty expensive, and not sure if it lets you mount this to multiple boxes) -

Please choose the size of the additional disk for your VPS. It will be visible as a second hard drive on your operating system.
    50 GB $7.00 USD excl.VAT/month
    100 GB $14.00 USD excl.VAT/month
    200 GB $21.00 USD excl.VAT/month
    500 GB $42.00 USD excl.VAT/month

You're welcome. I didn't realize either. I think that the 'cloud' offering has a different pricing scale to be honest for storage. When I click the 'Public Cloud' link on my control panel, I'm redirected to a page asking for a deposit.

You could always NFS mount a Kimsufi drive, which would create for an interesting test case.

OVH still doesn't reply to my ticket sent 2 days ago to ask if VPS30 is recurring or not.
Seems like it is true that at OVH support is nonexistent.

If you are from OVH, can you tell us what is the renewal cost after 6 or 12 months, will it be still with the 30% discount? Or full price?

They only care about customers with enterprise servers. I can send them a ticket regarding my dedi and get a reply in a few hours.

But when it comes to VPS my last 2 tickets were never touched..

Seems to be the same with their SYS line. I had a ticket laying around for 18 days until I just cancelled the server.

the cost after renewal will be at the normal price.
So if you take a VPS-SSD1 for 12 months, you can have him for something like 2 euros for 12 months, and after it will be 2.99 euros, if you chose to continue.

Note : renew is activated/deactivated during order OR in your control panel in the Billing section (so it's easy, no need to call OVH)

Selected 6 months and 12 months, didn't see an option for auto renew. Am I missing something?

You need to have an OVH account in the billing country you decide to pay, and the last step before payment will explain you all taxes included.
for FR, yes you'll pay our VAT because you'll be considered like a french customer.
it's called Prix TTC (toutes axes comprises)

if you are from CA/US you can wait few days to have same giftcode in your country.

  • Oh my God! I wanted to take from the VPS scaleway with the best performance (2 x86 64bit Cores 2GB Memory 50GB SSD Disk 200Mbit/s Unmetered bandwidth), and then take off the price! thought)

@Andrey11 :) for checking perfs you can also take a look at http://www.vpsbenchmarks.com/ ,

@dgprasetya we have some anti-abuse rules, if you OVH account is totally new and have no bills paid, it could be this. you can call support if needed.
