I think its a P410i RAID controller on there. I don't think it has any on-board native SATA ports that you can use.
But P410i does work with Proxmox in my experience. Its just Centos 7 that has issues.
When you boot the system, what does the RAID controller BIOS show as the status of the disks / array?
If there is a P410i RAID controller there, then you need to use a separate utility to configure the RAID array and not the BIOS. While booting, you need to press F8 when prompted to start the array configuration utility. Its called SSA in the newer HP Gen9 servers, though the name may differ in your G6 server.
