PHP Configuration changes not reflecting

Hello,
We were trying to disable mail function on our server, so we went to WHM> PHP Configuration > Advance Mode > disable_functions and added "mail". And saved it. Restarted the server but phpinfo.php file on domains still shows no value under disable_functions.
Please help us sort this out.
