The Pirate Bay movie was released day, an interesting watch, as it extensively covers copyright issues:

I beat you to it in the Cest Pit ;)

I had to take a break an hour in and I'm just finishing the last 20 mins, but yeah, definitely really interesting.

  • lol, all you guys can say about this is "interesting?"

    Also, c-c-c-combo breaker.

  • @black said: lol, all you guys can say about this is "interesting?"

What do you want us to say? "OOH LOOK AT THE PRETTY SUPERMICRO SERVERS!! OOH LOOK AT THE UNDERGROUND DATACENTER!!!!!"

    There ya go

    It's really up to interpretation.

Interesting in the sense that it dips into their private lives and what they've gone through from their own point of view. It's worth a watch. I'm sorry, I'm not going to describe the documentary with the same word I'd use to describe a thriller-action movie and say it's awesome or shit. An action movie isn't thought provoking and interesting in the same sense as a documentary - everyone analyzes things differently and my opinion could (quite frankly) be completely different than yours.

I thought the servers were pretty cool, and the pirate party datacenter looks nice :)

    But..what about the professor. :/

  • @Victor said: But..what about the professor.

    We'll let him slide.

  • Watched it last night. I felt the ending was kind of sudden......

  • TPB is so arrogant, they act like they're the only torrent site lol

Watched the whole thing last night. Very interesting; they got some nice equipment!

  • I actually hoped that they would show more of the DC and the servers. Good film though, worth the watch

Tempted to get a server there just to say I've got one in a former nuclear shelter 30ft underground ;D

The prices actually seem quite decent.

    (And anyone else who's interested)

Pionen Tour (One of the DC's shown in TPB AFK)

If you can get past the first bit, you get some better looks at the DC.

    Another YouTube video

and I think Bahnhof actually own the DC, not SwedenDedicated.com

    Their 256MB VPS is 9.50 EUR/mo

It is Bahnhof that owns that 'show-off' dc.

We are in Pionen if you're interested in a VPS in it :p
It is however not a good DC, they had (and still have) a lot of cooling issues in summer IIRC.

Like I said, to much show-off to sell in to their customers.
The meeting room above the racks is cool but the added costs (that they have to get somewhere from, ie their customers) is not worth it.

Like William said, one thing is the cooling issues.

  • @Jack said: @William so 'Portlane' is Pionen?

    Portlane has/uses 3 facilitys in/around Stockholm
