1GB KVM VPS for $7/month or 1GB Xen VPS for $7/month - Xeon E3 & E5 nodes, Free DNS /w 6 Locations

We know that our 1GB KVM VPS package for $7 per month has been on the wish list of many LET/LEB members before the end of 2012, unfortunately we were not able to meet the demand at the end of last year. To make up for it we are now bringing you not one, but three 1GB VPS plans: one is powered by KVM and two are powered by Xen virtualization. All three packages come with 1GB RAM, swap space enabled and various amounts of resources (depending on the plan).
To make this offer even better, each VPS account comes with our Free Managed DNS Service. You can host up to 500 domains per account and there is not limit for the amount of DNS queries. If you are currently using an expensive DNS hosting service that charges you an arm and a leg for everything and places a limit on the amount of DNS queries that you can have per month then you should definitively switch to us and get your DNS service for free.
And to top it all off, we also include hardware DDoS protection (at the network layer) and a 99.9% SLA for every VPS server.

We maintain our own Xen software stack (http://repo.vpsnodebox.com) and we run Xen on CentOS 6 along with our own custom Xen kernel.

Frequently Asked Question:

  • Q: Why is my first invoice more than $7 or less than $7? How does your billing work?

A: Our billing system is prorated around the middle of each month. We do this in order to align customer with the first day of each month for their next invoice due date. For instance if you order service before the middle of January then your total at checkout will be less than $7 and your next invoice will be due on February 1st. If your order after the middle of January then you will be billed for the remainder of January and also for February and your next invoice will be due on March 1st.

  • Q: What is the difference between the Xen Business Package and Xen Enterprise Package?

A: We deploy the Xen Business Package VPS servers on smaller nodes with more storage and less CPU power (Intel Xeon E3), while we deploy the Xen Enterprise Package VPS servers on larger nodes (Intel Xeon E5) with a little bit less storage, more CPU power and faster I/O speeds.

  • Q: Why is there a limit for the network speed? Is this per server or per VPS?

A: The network speed limit is per VPS and we do this in order to avoid network congestion. This way we can ensure that all our customers get a decent amount of network traffic 24/7.

  • Q: Can I deploy IRC or VPN services? What about torrenting?

A: If you wish to deploy IRC or VPN services on our network just open a support ticket to let us know. We will give you our written consent. Torrenting of copyrighted materials or engaging in other illegal activities is not allowed.

  • Q: How many IPv4 addresses can I get with my VPS? What about IPv6?

A: Our lowest VPS packages come with 1 IPv4 address, while our higher end VPS packages come with up to 12 IPv4 addresses. Because IPv4 space is limited, you will need to provide a written justificatio (in a support ticket) for each additional IPv4 address that you request over the default addresses that you are assigned. If you need IPv6 please open a support ticket and we will assign your VPS a /64 IPv6 block from Hurricane Electric.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

    Tempting :)

  • @Jack said: I have a feeling you meant to put E3 for the Xen Business Package VPS servers on smaller nodes with more storage and less CPU power (Intel Xeon E5)

@Jack - Thank you for the observation, I have edited the offer :-)

  • Non Refund, when we buy and not satisfiying with the vps performance then money is gone :(

  • Nice offer.

  • @Liam said: Appears to be Frankfurt?!

@Liam - GeoIP shows the IP location to be either Berlin or Frankfurt, however the physical location is Munster, DE. I don't want to mislead anyone, so I just changed the location to Munster, DE. Thank you for the observation :-)

@ZeroCool said: Non Refund, when we buy and not satisfiying with the vps performance then money is gone :(

@ZeroCool - Actually customers that cancel their service can request a prorated credit that will be applied to their account. They can use this credit at any time to purchase other services from us, it never expires. Or if you are truly unhappy and can articulate a valid reason in your refund request then we have no problem issuing you a refund. We create such promotions in order to advertise our services, so the last thing we want is to upset anyone. Unfortunately we had to tighten rules and write them into our TOS and AUP in order to discourage any form of abuse. The bottom line is that if you are unhappy with your service we will give you your money back. And if you look around here you will see that sometimes we have issued a refund even before a customer has asked us for it, which actually wasn't always a good idea as the customer can interpret such an act as a negative gesture. Give us a try, maybe you will like our VPS servers :)

  • I haven't seen that much memory and disk in a single KVM LEB offer.

  • i have experience with xen vps before i never successfully installed kloxo panel use centos 5.8 32bit, when installed centos 32bit vps always showing offline
and see your OS support not have Centos 5.8 32bit

i am interest with the offer but i use kloxo as my web panel

  • @ZeroCool - We have updated CentOS 5.8 to 5.9 on Xen. On KVM it's still at 5.8, however the first time that you will run "yum update" it will update CentOS to 5.9. From what I have seen it is actually not a big update, so it's more like a version number bump. Anyway, you should be able to use CentOS 5.9 just fine. I would recommend that you make the jump to CentOS 6.3 or Oracle Linux 6.3 (we offer both on Xen and KVM). And we also maintain a repository with newer software for CentOS 6.3 (works with Oracle as well) that will improve your user experience by allot.

@jcaleb - We are trying to bring something new and cool to this community :-)

  • can you currently provide native ipv6 address? thanks.

  • @jsfox - Currently we are providing them via HE as we are waiting on our Data Center to implement native addressing. The good news is that we found that there is not latency or speed penalty, otherwise we wouldn't offer them at all.

  • @marcm - is it the same as I apply from he.net by myself? if the same, I can apply it by myself. :)

  • @ZeroCool : CentOS 5.9 (Final) also work for kloxo (Kloxo-MR, forum.mratwork.com)

  • I used the code and the Total Due Today: $12.15 USD,Why ???

  • @zuinande - It's explained in the FAQ:

Q: Why is my first invoice more than $7 or less than $7? How does your billing work?

If your order after the middle of January then you will be billed for the remainder of January and also for February and your next invoice will be due on March 1st.

    So it's basically prorated billing.

  • @marcm said: Q: Why is my first invoice more than $7 or less than $7? How does your billing work?

It means that pay $5.15 for 7 days(24-31), I would like order next month!

  • @zuinande - We are trying to align invoicing for customers for the 1st of each month. It makes life a hole lot easier when it comes to keeping track of billing. Unfortunately WHMCS has a centralized implementation when it comes to pro-ration, so we cannot change that on a individual basis. Some service providers that are using proprietary billing systems allow customers to choose on which day they want to be invoiced, unfortunately we are not there yet.

  • @marcm boss i think he is raising the issue that $5.15 is kinda expensive for 1 week service, where 1 month service is just $7.

  • @jcaleb - Switched coupons to percentage calculation. Everyone else who signed up got an account credit for the difference.
@zuinande - Give the coupon a try now please.

  • Tempting, anyone has a benchmark on the KVM/XEN box?
