Yes, apply to existing and new customers, for all services and invoices. You can always use your credit to renew orders or order new service. They are just not refundable.
Just check who we are and you may get your answer. Since asking the provider if it sustainable is not a good source in my opinion. For sure they will say yes. :P
This let me think... Some big company are doing the same: Linode, DO, Vultr, AWS... and they are not out of money. But I understand your point too. Don't worry!
