Best video surveillance for IP cameras?
I'm looking for free linux video surveillance software that does the following:
Record on motion
Video activity reporting and queries
Remote live view of camera
Rule based alerts
IP Camera's (1-3)
Any recommendations?
Also, if you do have a recommendation tlak about the pros and cons of said software.
Thanks!

So lonely.
There's a thread to this effect here, Zoneminder came up from two people and looks to be nice, though I have no experience.
zoneminder is great, i use it extensively. You can apt-get install on debian/ubuntu as well to get up and running in a couple minutes
+1000 for Zoneminder
(though I think you may have to run it on bare metal to use it with conventional cameras; it may run in a VM for IP cameras, but I am not sure. I ran it on a thin client with conventional video cameras)
