Who is your current provider?

I want to know what the community uses
if you could link them as well that would help anyone interested in going with that host <3

Ah, another one of these threads :)

    I currently have VPS with:

    • RamNode: they're awesome in general, I have servers in all five of their locations
    • Linode: have one in Japan, one in Singapore, and one in Germany; also awesome (except the recent extended downtime from DDoS and hack are quite disturbing), although a bit more expensive
    • RansomIT: for the location (Australia)
    • Vultr: for the location (Germany); although I started using Linode instead
    • Torqhost: for the location (Estonia)
    • vstoike.ru: for the location (Russia)
    • EDIS: for the location (Iceland)
    • Hosthink: for the location (Turkey)
    • Backupsy: for backups!

Dedicated servers with OVH only at the moment.

    For personal use:

    • Online.net: hosting a bunch of websites and other personal stuff, including my seedbox.
    • vStoike: personal VPN/Shadowsocks. 99 % of my daily internet traffic is routed trough them.
    • GinerNet: VPN/proxy in Spain.
    • Secure Dragon: VPN in the US.
    • LowEndSpirit: VPN in the UK.
    • Inception Hosting: backups.

I am surprised about how I have most of my personal stuff in hosts discovered via LET.

I would prefer to migrate from Online to LeaseWeb or other decent provider in the future. I guess it will happen when I see a decent deal on KVM with a good amount of storage and DDoS protection.

    Hm.

ReliableHostingServices - 1 VPS running VestaCP + NginX/Apache for shared hosting
BuyShared - 1 Reseller Account for clients that don't need much attention
DigitalOcean - 2 Droplets (Singapore), one for my thesis proposal, one for a status page for my hosting service
VPSCheap - 1 *unused* VPS, still deciding what to do with it

Never got a chance to try Vultr. Every time I tried adding my card it seems to decline it for some reason.

I actually have significantly more dedicated servers than VPSes.

    Dedi:

    8 OVH 14 Online.net(only one is a kidechire actually) 4 Leaseweb 5 Dacentec

Most of the money from the dedi section goes to OVH actually, I've got a lot of their larger servers, including two(soon to be more) of their 30TB storage line ones.

    VPS:

    2 DO CA 1 MCH CA 2 Linode JP 1 Ramnode US-NY 2 time4vps LT 1 Catalyst US-TX 1 XVM US-AZ 1 Securedragon US-CO 1 BuyVM US-NV Probably more I forgot

I look forward to adding vStoike to my VPS list sometime soon, as well as more stuff from Securedragon and time4vps.

Also, not a VPS or dedi, but I'm currently giving a go to mxroute for my non-critical email.

  • BudgetVZ and MegaVZ

  • Im using:

HostUS (UK) - For my video website.

DigitalOcean (NL) - DNS stuff and for development droplets

Hoping on adding BuyShared (LU) to the list soon for a new project of mine. wink wink @Francisco ;)

Used to have a ton more but my buy VPS addiction has calmed down so I cancelled most.

    Thanked by 1AlexanderM
  • I'm using:

HostUS (LA, US): My own website, etc, I run some other stuff on it too.

LHC SG (x2): Git Server & Server Status Server

    Gestion DBI (NJ, US): VPN

AlphaRacks (LA, US): For a project that I'm launching soon (that wasn't ever disclosed here)

DigitalOcean (SG, not mine, but have full control over): For running some Laravel apps, VPN (PPTP & L2TP), and 20-30 WordPress websites with at least 3 thousand views daily (in total)

Amazon Cloud Drive: For pushing hundreds of gigabytes of backups to, everyday :)

I use Zoho for my mail. Free, but works really well. Might consider MXRoute for my future (more serious) projects though.

    Thanked by 1AlexanderM
    • brief reviews of each

2x HostUS of which i have bought just this week, I have 2GB in LA and 256mb HK, both are doing great but docker support is just not there even with the provided template a lot of things arent working

1x Ramnode - stellar uptime, I am only using this as a VPN though, only gripe is it autokills apps that cpu or memory spikes (i think)

1x Dacentec, decent provider for the price, nothing noteworthy but my expectations for what I pay are definitely fulfilled

    Thanked by 1AlexanderM
  • Using Prometeus, Dacantec, BuyShared, BuyVM and I've got a couple of yearlys with random hosts I can't remember. All are doing their job well :P

Making this list made me realize I've focused way too much on proximity to me and to other servers instead of global distribution. Solution: More servers!

    • Linode (Dallas) - 3
    • RamNode (Atlanta) - 4
    • OVH (BHS) - 3
    • SecureDragon (New Jersey) - 1
    • Prometeus (Dallas) - 1
