Online.net Limited edition 4815 OR KS3

Hi,

I'm currently fortunate to have both a KS-3 (15€ excl VAT) and an Online.net limited edition 4815 (19€ excl VAT).

I have currently no use for both of them, but I could use some input on which one to keep:

advantages KS-3:

  • 16 GB RAM
  • fast i5-3570s
  • better DDOS ?
  • slightly cheaper

advantages online.net:

  • 2x 1 TB drive (RAID possible)
  • better support than Kimsufi ?
  • 100 GB free backup
  • possibility to add an USB drive for a one-time fee.
  • 1 Gbps network
  • Possibility to add a few extra IPv4's (extra cost)
  • KVM provided at no extra cost

I also added a poll :-)

Thanks !

  • It really depends, do you need 1Gbps or is 100Mbps more than enough for you?

And support.. Online.net support is (in my eyes) much better and faster than the support for Kimsufi.

    So.. Your choice really :P

  • Only difference here is 1hdd vs 2hdds
    and
8gb ram vs 16 gb ram

You have to answer yourself what is more important to you - more ram or more hhd.

Anyway i find online.net always better than ovh. Online mean better hardware, better network and faster/better support.

  • You can always get another KS-3, but would have a hard time finding something else this cheap until online.net does another special

  • KS3 has Core™ i5-750 which has just 3740 points, while Xeon® E3 1220 v2 has an amazing 6539. Online.net also offers ECC RAM, no standard desktop RAM. The whole online.net machine as Dell branded server while Kimsufi is all desktop self-made machine with almost no support.

Yes, indeed but I was lucky enough to get the i5-3570s which is a lot faster

  • If that server would have an SSD I would order right away ;)

Yep, in the past I could have used the other one as a backup MX, but now I have mxroute.com for that purpose :-)
