  • What is a dedicated leb

Do you want a virtual private server or a dedicated server?

  • None AFAIK. Nothing cheap in Russia. @rm_ ?

  • @bamn cheap dedicated servers in russia

That's the best deal you're going to find.

    Limited supply of companies
    Limited Internet connections
    Limited hardware
All 3 combined = high price

Santrex has an i3 in Russia for $159

@rm_ happily uses European VPSes and OVH's Kimsufi to serve all his visitors, 50-100ms ping is nothing for a website.
There is really very little reason to host in Russia. It's not a copyright wild west if that's what you wanted; most hosting/VPS/dedi companies provide hugely overpriced low quality services with little respect towards the customers; and from the state, the internet censorship is now introduced and is being tightened.
The only reason why you would want your server to be in Russia is perhaps for a game server, but I don't have such a need.

Yes, for that Ukraine has to be used now, Safeandsoundhost and so on...

  • @Jack said: I heard some of the /24's they got were pulled by RIPE or something.

    They seem to be expanding.

A few providers had /24s pulled over the past few months but the 2 instances I recall, both had larger blocks reassigned
