Virpus Offer (from WHT)

Found this offer in WHT http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1220104

Xen PV, 512 MB Ram, 1024 MB Swap, 20GB HDD, 1000GB Bandwidth, 1 ipv4, 3 ipv6, Kansas City, $30/yearly.

This offer is very good considering that they are using Xen PV. However their support at times can be slow. You can search WHT for Virpus reviews.

Not bad at all. Nice bandwidth. Thanks for the share.

  • Any test yet? :D

  • Like some people says, I wouldn't touch it with a ten mile pole...

  • My experience with Virpus, and others, too: you get what you pay for. I have one OpenVZ with them, used to have two. Used to have 12 month plan, changed that to monthly. Not too bad while your node is up and running. This node (as opposed to the other one I had my other VPS on) seems to be "lucky" - it's up pretty much all the time (knock on wood here!). But they are pretty much useless when anything goes wrong, which is to say no support to speak of. Summing up: pretty nice deal as long as you don't put anything critical there, say, use for development and such.

  • Oh yay, another yearly offer.

  • Virpus, that's what happens when you engage in unsafe physical intimacy :)

Worst name for a company ever.

Not exactly the top of the crop VPS provider and reliability is real subject. Not the type of outfit to make a year commitment to.

Personally I have experience with their slow support. My VPS was down for several weeks while awaiting their reply.

  • Speeds look fine @biplab.

But, "My VPS was down for several weeks". Ouch. No way Jose. I'll skip that introduction to VPS Dummies 101 class.
