WHMCS Development

edited December 2012 in General

Hi,

Do you know anyone that does custom heavy WHMCS integrations, such as:

Log-in screen - http://puu.sh/1CifX
Dashboard - http://puu.sh/1Cigs
Support - http://puu.sh/1CigB
Services - http://puu.sh/1CigP

Those screenshots are taken from another company, but just to give you an idea of what i'm looking for.

I've contacted ModulesGarden who was on here yesterday.

As far as I am aware, they used a developer to make this.
Anyway, you get what I mean..suggest some companies :P

  • We do this, but it is far from cheap.

I know it's not going to be cheap. PM me with a rough amount, obviously not exact. Thanks.

  • try Zomex or LV_Matt either would be good.

Brian at HingeWeb is the guy responsible for ours. He's a good guy.

Zomex is good, geek storage probably has its own developer using API

Few hundred $ or more for full customization really

Which was what I quoted. It works out pretty cheap when you think of the number of pages in WHMCS.

  • @Zen said: That isn't WHMCS, FYI.

I know, but you can do similar things with WHMCS. Its there own custom system.

Pretty sure it is, haha :) Tickets etc are the same as WHMCS

  • @Zen said: Nah, its an open source panel. I've used it, pretty easy to modify.

    Care to share?

Fair enough :P Just has the same ticket interface/statuses etc. Maybe it's not ;)

I had a GS VPS, I am pretty sure it is WHMCS. It's fully developed using their API, Inceros new portal is also based around the API using WHMCS, x10hosting and so on also use WHMCS via API but has no resemblance to it because it's purely recoded front end

I also asked Jay from GeekStorage and I can confirm they use WHMCS based on the API.

  • @Jarland Brian is a joke...

@eastonch Why do you say that? Very nice guy, been quite a pleasure to work with.

I spoke to him on live chat and was a pleasure to speak to. Care to share why he's a joke?

  • @dominicl you do understand you could just use WHMCS api in your site pages, instead of doing the integration like that.

    Google: WHMCS API

Curtis, will look into it. Thanks

  • No problem.

  • @Jarland I worked with him a while ago... I'll dig out the e-mails if you're all interested;

It took him... Months? To code the website we paid him for, his designer was great; however shared all of the work on multiple sites for 'comments' rather than asking us before-hand.

Brian is OK, but he seems to get 'overloaded' with work too quickly, or atleast, this was the situation we fell into when I got him to design MeteorVPS:

    http://hingeweb.com/portfolio/meteorvps/
(We never asked anything from him, except an additional WHMCS integration which we never went for, and another site design a month later, however told us the price had 'jumped' to over 1.5K for a Wordpress Blog Theme.)

    Please also note:

...and utilize our services quite often for other tasks related to their business.

I talk to Marc on a regular basis, They hired somebody to design a new site for them not long after Brian had made their website, you can see the difference, it's not a massive overhaul, but Marc also had some of the troubles I experienced.

    @ShardHost

I don't disagree that Brian may of "changed" the way he runs shop now, and may be much more efficient, and actually do a great job... But when we asked him to develop a website, we had a set budget and he accepted it. That was the talk about it.

We could never reach him through his Cell or through skype, it was always e-mails and BaseCamp.

He also ripped a JQuery Slider from elsewhere and just modified it for my own use; the Designer used a font on the page which was "not available" for us to use, so we had to subsidize and go for another font, making the design and actual implementation look different somewhat more than expected.

Anyway. that was MY experience with him, I don't expect anybody to have the same.

  • Brian actually coded our new webpage also; however it was designed by exit3. That was a whole other fiasco though!

Brian is a solid coder, who has learned a lot since I first worked with him. Yes he still gets busy and sometimes things take longer than expected; however is friendly approachable and always aims to do the right thing. Your mileage however may vary

  • @ShardHost

Ah. Like I said; "I don't disagree that Brian may of "changed" the way he runs shop now". When I had approached him, he'd always 'get to it' and days later, I'd have the work I requested.

Yeah I know what you mean. I bet that was around the time he was getting his wedding in order. I think he took on a bit too much work around that time. Can't say I haven't done that myself, wedding makes you feel like you can't say no to money ;)
